Fantastic experience: I am super happy that a friend recommended Gold Coast to me. I am about 12 sessions in and I have throughly enjoyed receiving care from them. I am about 18 months in on recovering from a severe disc herniation. I have seen about 10 different body workers and Lorraine has been one of the best so far. She listens and is great at what she does. I also love that their care is more than adjustments. Their approach includes practices that help to build the spine’s strength overtime as the adjustments bring it into alignment. Lastly, the vibe of their office feels great. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: I highly recommend Gold Coast Chiropractic. I would give five stars if not for the cost of services. I had been seeing a physical therapist for four months for a herniated disk in my neck but did not get relief. A friend recommended seeing a chiropractor, but I dismissed it initially thinking my problem was muscular. I am so glad I changed my mind and decided to give it a try. With MRI in hand, I saw Dr. David Melendez who took an x-ray of the neck and lower back. He explained to me with the x-ray that the angle in which my neck was out of alignment was pinching the nerve and causing the pain down into my hand. I elected to join the initial program for 26 visits. After just four visits and the at-home exercises, I had less pain. While it is expensive to see a chiropractor for that many visits, I feel it was worth it after months of physical therapy with little relief. Now I have transitioned out of critical care to maintenance and feel the treatments have corrected my problem. I also learned better posture and exercises to strengthen my whole spine and ensure the neck problem does not come back. The practice runs efficiently, and the staff are friendly. The doctors back each other up so there is continual service. Dr. David is a great cheerleader for his patients, encouraging their progress. He cares deeply about getting the service just right for each patient.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Anna and Dr. Jacob have changed my life. I was a migraine sufferer for over 20 years. I had tried everything I could think of; neurology, homeopathy, medications, acupuncture, diet changes and birth control. After 1 year of correcting the curvature in my neck, I am almost 100% migraine free and my overall health has improved so much. This power couple has healed me in so many ways and I am immensely grateful.

For me, doctors who try to connect with their patients get extra points! His positive attitude is just the icing on the cake. Believe me, nothing bums me out when I go to a new doctor and they show no sign of 'wanting to get to know you." The staff, Jessica and Parker, are always helpful, too. Unfortunately, I don't live in San Diego anymore, so I can only see him when I'm in town. But I always look forward to my appointments!

Fantastic experience: It has been a total of 22 years that Dr David and Dr Lorraine have been caring for me and my family. Recently I had my Gallbladder Removed. I am now 7 weeks post op and have had my second visit with Dr David. What he does each time is such a blessing and I feel so good. I always leave with a plan to implement which will always help me improve my over all well being. We are improving the right shoulder which has been under treatment in the past 6 months. Negative experience: I am an athlete who came to this team as a patient based on a family recommendation. After two months of weekly visits, I began experiencing muscle pains and issues that my other medical team could not diagnose. The advice from this office has led to my hospitalization three times, and they advocated for stopping multiple life-saving prescription medications, even threatening to halt treatment mid-course. I have since fired them and now have a new team of medical providers. Their actions have caused a spinal hernia, muscle damage, and hypermobility. Their dietary advice has also led to kidney issues. Additionally, they have refused four attempts over the course of a few months to collect records from Dr. Jacob Melendez and Dr. Dave Melendez. I have reported them to three California agencies because they have refused to return contact.

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin. I’ve been going to gold coast for about 3 years now and from day one I felt like family. Going in is always one of the highlights of my week. I’ve never experienced so much care from any medical office they way I do at gold coast. I was shocked when Anna first took my x-rays and I didn’t know how I was functioning with how off to the side my head was. But after being under Anna’s care my neck and head are basically completely strained now. Every doctor at the office cares for everyone in so many more ways than just chiropractic on a medical level and a personal level. I’ve walked through celebratory seasons and season of grief and they have laughed with me and we’ve cried together. The culture that they set in the office is always welcoming and you are always treated like part of the family. Found Gold Coast online and after looking at reviews gave it a try. The team does a full evaluation to help figure out cause for pain and what needs to be done to help. Much to my surprise it wasn’t just my lower back causing the pain but also my upper back. With education and tons of help I am feeling light years better mid treatment cycle. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Talkk about a pain in the neck!! I am 54 and been surfing over 40 years. This past winter the pain in my neck and back was so severe I literally couldn’t surf! I decided to “kick down” and get help…yes treatment costs $$ but I am so glad I did. Dr. Dave and his team are amazing. With X-rays and a lengthy consultation, he educated me on my issues and mapped out a quick and reasonable road to recovery. His plan worked and I am back in the water! The whole practice amazed me. Everyone was especially friendly and answered any questions or concerns I had.
