It is a big practice with multiple providers which can be helpful especially if you have an urgent need. Walk in clinic is great, wait times are generally not that long. My favorite and most used resource is the nurse line / messaging on the app. Super helpful and quick response time. We’ve been going for 10 years, pleased with the services.

Negative experience: Miserably ran company. My daughter was born at Livington hospital and sawa pediatrician from Watchung pediatrics. Common sense would possess most people to wait some measure of time before running one's insurance. Especially considering that you can't add an unborn child to insurance and can't enroll in health insurance without a birth certificate. Then they send me this mean unnecessarily hateful letter over $200, absolutely pathetic. We have never stepped foot in your office, my daughter isnt even a patient. Must be a slow season, terrible company.

Fantastic experience: Been going here since my son was a newborn he’s almost 3 dr Tiffany Scott is beyond amazing always goes overboard for all 4 of my kids they all love her and makes me feel comfortable and the office is so clean and they even have walk in sick hours for your child I have a special needs son as well and she always fights for everything for him when my insurance denies it she’s truly an amazing pediatrician best by far !!

Fantastic experience: I cannot express enough how incredible Dr. Alexander Marcus is as a pediatrician. His bedside manner is beyond amazing; he's not just a doctor but a genuinely caring and compassionate person. His sincerity and patience shine through in every interaction, especially with my son who is on the autism spectrum and has SPD. During the chaotic times of the pandemic, Dr. Marcus met my son several times, each time with unwavering patience and kindness. Despite my son's fear of doctors, Dr. Marcus never rushed through appointments or tried to escape challenging moments. Instead, he stayed calm, understanding, and provided that special, gentle touch that made all the difference. What sets Dr. Marcus apart is his dedication to explaining everything in detail. He takes the time to ensure I understand my son's condition thoroughly and provides valuable resources, from specialist recommendations to care guidelines. It's rare to find a doctor who goes above and beyond to support not just the patient but also the family. Having been with Watchung Pediatrics for four years, I can confidently say that Dr. Marcus epitomizes what an extraordinary doctor should be. Fantastic experience: The new annex is great. It’s gotten a big facelift since we last visited where curtains turned into doors and rooms have windows! I took my daughter during walk-in hours on a Monday and were able to be seen right away. The doctor took a strep test and a flu test based on the symptoms we mentioned and before we even left we learned my poor girl had the flu. The doctor was very kind and honest with us about treatment options and gave us a doctors note to excuse her absence from school. I’m not sure I would have remembered to ask at that point… We really do like the Warren office and will continue to come back. Thanks for helping us :)

Negative experience: Since the office has grown so much it is now so in personal. The doctors in the practice no longer have time to even read your child’s chart before seeing them. The nurses don’t greet you when they walk in, and many times the doctors don’t have time to actually hear your concerns. The past two times both the nurse and doctor have been very rude.

Fantastic experience: With a newborn its truly reassuring to be handled by the professionals

Positive experience: Watching Pediatrics is good - if you are unquestionably compliant with what they 'suggest' for your child. I had the nerve to exercise discernment with my child's immunization schedule; wanting only to go with the NJ Department of Health's necessary requirements (which are the CDC's minimum requirements), as opposed to the full CDC *recommended* (not required) schedule. For that, my child's (actually both my children's) files were closed, with Watching Pediatrics permanently dismissing them from well care or sick care. Again, if you comply with the agency, the doctors themselves are really good.

Fantastic experience: We were recommended by our Nurse at RWJ Hospital and LOVE them! Still going 8 years later with 2 kids now. The Doctors and Staff are WONDERFUL. Very caring and attentive to our girls, always making them feel comfortable and ALWAYS there to help me out when I have questions or concerns. We never have to wait long at all plus they have convenient walk-in hours. Just renovated their space and girls love the new rooms! They also love getting their stickers on the way out and sometimes mommy gets one too!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Alexander Marcus is SO good with kids. That shouldn't be a surprise considering he's a pediatrician BUT he was so great with my son. We had an emergency and Dr. Marcus was so caring and playful with him. My son even woke up the next morning asking me if we were going to see him again that day! I can't thank him enough. He is great!

Fantastic experience: Staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. Been taking my children to Watchung Peds for over 13 years.we usually visit the Fanwood office, but Warren was just as clean and professional as Fanwood. My son and I were very pleased with the Dr. that we saw there! We usually see Dr. Kramer in Fanwood and my children and I love her. One has been seeing her since birth (13 yrs), the other has been seeing her since about 3 years old (17 yrs now). My only issue is that we were told the 13 yr old has to see her alone next visit, with no parents in the room. That will be a huge issue for me and may cause us to find a new pediatrician office. I really hope that doesn’t happen because we are very Happy with Dr Kramer. Lori G.

Fantastic experience: Great staff! Very warm and welcoming. The staff always leaves the open-door for all questions and are very professional. The atmosphere is clean.

Negative experience: Awful. They charge for every little thing you ask for. I paid for a physical because my kids needed it for camp and they charged me to fill out the form I brought to the day of the physical. This place is a money pit. If I bring my kids in for 2 different issues they always ask me to come back for another appointment to address the other issue at a separate time. Rather than just treat them for everything at the one appointment.

Positive experience: I have been taking my kids to Watchung Pediatrics for several years, everything was fine until last year when I took my son for his annual check up and later I got a bill for somekind of counseling that I wasn't aware. His physical exam this year it was last Monday, I told the nurse he didn't need any additional exams or counseling because I don't want unexpected bills like last year, she said if the doctor talks about something like nutrition he may consider this like nutrition counseling and bill separate for that. I was like: WHAT? They bill separate for whatever they talked, is not like they bring an specialist for that. This place is turning must into a business more than a doctor's office where patients are not the priority, money is. I'm afraid to ask anything if they are going to charge separate for answers.

Negative experience: Our kids went to Watchung Pediatrics for many years. My wife and I are not anti-vax and our kids had been keeping up to date up to 2021.Over the past couple of years we've been hesitant to give them new vaccines because of how politicized medical care was becoming. We visited about a month ago to have our newborn baby's first appointment. While there, the office manager came in to tell us that they're no longer willing to accept our kids as patients due to being hesitant about the vaccine schedule. Keep in mind, the highly debated COV-19 vaccine was due on our children's schedule. If a doctor would've sat with us and explained the benefits and risks of the vaccines they want to inject into our kids, we would've agreed to the large majority of them. The proof of this is that we've switched to a different pediatrician who cared enough to have this conversation with us. Since then we've scheduled their appointments to receive several vaccines that they're behind on. However, instead of taking the time to care for our kids and have a conversation with their parents, they booted us. They were not willing to have a doctor spend 10 minutes with us to have a conversation. Watchung Pediatrics is a stronghold for big pharma sales reps and proved to me that they care for profits and kickbacks far more than they care for children.

Fantastic experience: From fantastic providers like Nancy Montville(we miss her!), Susan Korb, and Julia Higashio, to awesome nurses, friendly receptionists, and the ever so useful portal I can't say enough good things about this office! Update: Julia Higashio is AMAZING! Came in for a sick visit with my baby, she saw name and popped in to see him even though she wasn't working sick unit that day. She sincerely cares for her patients!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing! Professional and personal! They always address any and all issues and always have a concern for my child. I have been going to the Warren facility since my son has been six months old and he is now he is almost 5 years old and I have not one complaint. There is not one thing that I would change about the facility. Dr Scott is our main doctor and she is dedicated, loving and so professional. My son loves going to the Doctor because he wants to see her. Every nurse and doctor that we ever had an interaction with have been so awesome. Great place and only place to bring your children.

Fantastic experience: Switched to this practice and I will say it was such a great experience. It was so organized, I love the ease of making appointments. Not to mention they seat you in a room right away. Dr. Marcus was incredible. Since it was our first well visit there he really spent time going through everything and explaining many things, options, etc. It was so refreshing to have a doctor who cares and spends his time with his patients. Also, loved how I can just drop off the school paperwork and pick it up later on the week or even access it through the portal!! So easy. Very happy I made the switch to this practice.

Fantastic experience: Everyone we’ve seen here has been wonderful. Answered all our questions and has done thorough exams. We never feel rushed out and always get seen right away. Love that there is no waiting room and they send you straight to a room upon arrival.

Fantastic experience: Not sure where to begin. This office is a 5-star from start to finish. Ample, accessible parking. Fantastic and incredibly friendly front desk staff. There is hardly ever a wait, I don't think they double and triple book like many other doctors do. We see Dr. Scott. She is caring, friendly and attentive. She never rushes and always makes sure all of our concerns are addressed. Plus she gives great information and makes things understandable for us. I am so thrilled we discovered Dr. Scott and the Warren office. It may be a farther trip from our home but a trip that is completely worth it for my family. Thank you to the wonderful staff for always being so helpful and patient

Fantastic experience: We had a very ill child, and used the walk in services for the first time. We did not have to wait too long, attentive staff, great doctor and on-site testing. We will be using their walk in clinic more often instead of other urgent services. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I love that I could call and get my child seen by a Provider typically on the same day, if my child is ill. Office is clean. Both my children go there, and every visit is very easy and never a long wait period. They even have a flu drive up clinic outside for the fall which is amazing.

Negative experience: Rude staff, children’s care is not the priority. No afternoon appointments no weekends. Good location (Fanwood) but you will wait at least an hour before being seen.

Fantastic experience: We love Watchung Pediatrics!

Negative experience: This review is exclusively for the piercing service offered at the pediatrics. We went in for a piercing and pierced my daughter's ears. One ear looked right and the second ear was not pierced where the markings were. So I took it off after 3 days, then waited about 2 weeks and then went in for a re-piercing. The nurse always marks beforehand with a marker but never pierces there. I don't have the heart to put my baby through this again so I am going to live with that. I am so very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: We did walk in hours in Warren, the receptionist was so nice and helpful. The nurse came in within a minute or so and then the doctor. The doctor was new to us, as we normally go to Fanwood but needed afternoon walk in hours, the doctor was so nice and explained instructions very clearly.

Fantastic experience: This office and staff are absolutely amazing and really care for their patients. I had an emergency visit and I had to go to Morristown hospital and they have been in touch with me every day after to follow up and figure out our course of action. Highly recommend them. I take all my kids here and I went here as a kid too!!

Fantastic experience: My son needed his annual physical done early for high school sports. We typically go to the Fanwood office. I can’t say enough good things about the staff and how helpful they were. The receptionist worked with me to get him an appointment (and around my work schedule). She jumped through hoops to get him an appointment early and turned the forms around in less than 24 hours!

Fantastic experience: We knew that we wanted to use Watchung Pediatrics as first time parents; but hadn’t picked out a specific provider. We had our son’s newborn visit with Dr. Marcus and knew immediately we had found our long term pediatrician. He’s wonderful and patient with our baby, takes a lot of time to explain things to us, and has excellent follow through. The state made us redo the newborn screening three times and Dr. Marcus personally called us over a holiday weekend and at night to make sure we got an appointment and explained results. We love the entire staff here; and are so happy with our choice!

Negative experience: The sick office facilities are awful, it has plastic curtains dividing each patient room. The doctors and nurses seem racist and are not kind and gentle to treat children. One of the Dr said “you go now” to me, like I needed to go without asking questions. Maybe people of color are no allow to ask questions. Although I called a day in advance to provide the insurance information, when I called to schedule the appointment they claim they did not have my information on file. This is one of the worse pediatrician office I’ve been.

Fantastic experience: I love this office! I can’t say enough wonderful things. The nurses and doctors are wonderful. I’m a 1st time mom so I have (as you can imagine) a million questions. Dr. Tiffany Scott is my daughters Pediatrician and she is caring sweet and patient (with me and my daughter). I’ve had to bring my daughter to the walk-in hours on a few occasions and had equally great experiences with Dr. Sanjuan and Dr. Marepalli. They are sweet and patient and answered all of my questions without making me feel “dumb” or rushing out of the room. I will say that most times it is a bit of a wait for the doctor to come in when you go for a sick visit otherwise it’s pretty quick for Wellness checks.

Negative experience: Horrible experience in this branch. We came in 20 minutes early for our appointment, but was seen by the doctor (who was very nice) after an hour. Then you have to wait another 15 minutes for the nurse to give the vaccines. Just horrible waiting time, so disappointed with this branch. They need to have a better system. So disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Watchung Pediatrics is a shining star of a practice in all areas. They are incredibly responsive to all modes of communication - phone and patient portal - and always respond surprisingly quickly, even if it is just to tell you that a practitioner will get back ASAP. When you have a medical or behavior health emergency you can get immediate help and service that is expert, kind, and highly efficient. Many people are having trouble getting behavioral health help for their children at this time, and Watchung Pediatrics has practitioners and social workers who will immediately respond to your needs, refer you to places that take your insurance if needed, provide an initial and in-depth behavioral health interview, and even prescribe meds when warranted. The practice has cared for my children for about 11 years and I have always been happy with all levels of service and practitioners. My children, now nearly aged out of pediatrics, are especially fond of Dr. Tiffany Scott and APN Jessica Haines who handle younger and older patients with incredible wisdom and compassion.

My children feel extreme comfortable with every Dr. / P.A.and each and every one of them are patient and thorough with every appointment. Id like to do a shot out to Dr Alex Marcus; recent wellness visit with my son was our best yet. His bedside manner is so pleasant and friendly and he focuses on the patient to make sure he has a thorough understanding of the patient and their history to make as best informed diagnosis or suggestion. One of the top pediatricians I’ve ever had!!

Fantastic experience: I was apprehensive about posting this because Dr.Scott is already highly requested and I didn’t want to share, but sharing is caring. Dr. Tiffany Scott is probably the best doctor I’ve ever encountered. Her bedside manner and rapport with children is unmatched. She is kind, she listens to all my concerns, she remembers the smallest details about my boys despite the practice being so large. I feel so comfortable talking of all the challenges in parenting with her and she eases my worries with no judgement. She is one of a kind. We moved further away and I still drive the 35 min just for her. The nurses and admin staff are always so kind and organized and helpful. We’ve seen a few other doctors when dr. Scott was not available for sick visits and the experience was exemplary as well. Please note that all that I’ve said applies to the Warren office. I have had less than stellar experiences at the fanwood office.

Fantastic experience: As a first time parent, you hope to have a patient and thorough doctor for your child. Dr. San Juan is all of that and more. She takes the time to answer ALL of my questions and offers such good suggestions and insight as a mommy herself. She’s amazing!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sanjuan is exceptional. As a first time mother, I’m constantly overwhelmed with anxiety and stress that I’m not doing enough. My son is just over 2 months and every visit with Dr. Sanjuan has been great. She makes me feel incredible and answers every ridiculous question and concern I have. I never feel rushed, she’s super attentive with portal messages and I never feel alone with anything. I feel so lucky to have found such a great pediatrician the first time around when I know plenty of parents who have had to try several practices to find someone they like. There is never a wait, the front desk is very friendly. I can’t say enough good things about this practice. As someone who also works in healthcare, I know first hand how overwhelming seeing patients can be. The whole practice from the front desk to the nurses and doctors is just perfect 100/10.

Fantastic experience: My family have been patients here for going on 13 years. Having experience both as a patient and seeing their work at Overlook hospital overseeing newborn pediatric patients, there’s no where else I’d recommend. Dr. Katz is an absolute gem, with both my teenager and toddler. She is astonishingly knowledgeable, patient and kind. She continues to provide non-judgmental evidence based care. She is wonderful with children of all ages, and her passion for pediatrics shines through with every sick and well visit. I bring both of my children to be seen simultaneously, and she simultaneously engages my adolescent and makes him feel comfortable discussing his health while allowing my toddler to explore her stethoscope or an otoscope. She delivers atraumatic care, and is especially knowledgeable when it comes to AD(H)D and learning disabilities. Phone calls are quickly returned, appointments are easy to make, and their no-nonsense vaccine policy makes my family feel safe. I’d hesitate to move, because it would be a tremendous loss to not have Watchung Pediatrics as our pediatric care provider.

Fantastic experience: I must say I love my daughter's pediatrician office! Everyone we have encountered, from the front desk, to nurses, to doctors to date, our experience has been nothing short of wonderful! We haven't worked with all the doctors yet (my daughter is only 9 months old), but the ones we have interacted with (Dr Marepalli, Bahadur, Marcus, Sanjuan-Saleh, Scott and Barasch) have all been pleasant and patient! We also love the responsiveness to our questions via the patient portal and the resources they have set up for new parents alike (they have a nurse practitioner that on a regular monthly basis has Zoom calls for questions on baby care). I've highly recommended this pediatrician group to my friend who lives in Fanwood, who echoes the same sentiment that I'm sharing about the Warren office. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely adore Dr San Juan! As first time parents to a preemie it was so daunting and every step of the way she has been our partner in this journey. Through the (really long!) laundry list of questions, to her responsiveness in the patient portal we always feel like we can rely on her no matter what. My son also adores her and the whole staff makes you feel welcome and like family - remembering little things about you at each visit and are so thorough in the work they do So grateful for this team and definitely recommend them especially Dr San Juan

Negative experience: My family recently moved to the area and previously worked with a pediatrician’s office that was excellent. We hoped to find a similar experience when transitioning to a new office but our first appointment for our 2 1/2 year old last Wednesday was horrible due to the nurse handling much of the visit. From the start she seemed rushed and bothered to work with us, barely acknowledging our son upon entry. I felt some of her comments to be condescending and our responses received unwarranted judgement. I understand people having bad days but in the end, in this profession, it adversely impacts children and concerned parents. At one point, the nurse raised her voice at me when requesting a change in the shots to be administered to my son when I felt she was being abrasive. No calming techniques were attempted when administering the shots at all. While I would not recommend this practice to anyone as a result of our experience, I do have to say that Dr. Barasch was exceptional. She was attentive, kind, helpful, and engaged with my husband and I, as new parents, as well as my son.

They kept reassuring us that we didn’t have to wait long, which made it helpful especially with a 2.5 year old. The facility was clean and all C19 protocols were followed. The doctor that my daughter saw was fantastic in diagnosing her illness and made sure she was taken care of. I highly recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: We moved from NYC to NJ and needed a new pediatrician near us. And this place so far has been great to us. The walk in are in a separate building which makes it very convenient with all the craziness going on. All the staff are very professional and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Feels like the perfect fit for me and my new baby boy!! This practice came highly recommended by a few of my clients and friends I time for my first child born! I mentioned using them at my scheduled c section and I immediately met with 3 different pediatricians every day of my hospital stay at Overlook Hospital. Big office site, ran with nice extremely accommodating staff. Me and my Son love Dr. Marcus! He’s just too cool and patient. Amazing bedside manner and energetic. I highly recommend….This practice. Negative experience: Used to be great, however our last visit we waited an hour even with an appointment. Appointments take forever to get in the first place, two weeks or more out which is another turn off. The nurse was brief seeming to be in a rush and had no real comforting skills to my child pretty much ran in then out of the room. There seemed to be a long line on our way out as well. I think they are biting off more then they can chew and their patients will suffer for it. Maybe referrals to a pediatric urgent care when your overbooked could benefit your practice because nothing good comes from quantity over quality.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tiffany Scott has been such a blessing to our family. She is always kind to my little baby girl, patient, and understanding. My baby is a squirmer. She wants to take all the medical tools from Dr. Scott and play with them. My toddles is also an escape artist. Dr. Scott understands that toddlers don’t always cooperate and she cares for my baby with a smile. Dr. Scott has been extremely helpful with my daughters eczema and we truly appreciate her. Fantastic experience: Excellent! No waiting time, Dr. SanJuan and her staff are dedicated and friendly, super sweet with the kids, they take care of any detail. I love that they have separate areas for sick patients and well care visits. I definitely recommend them.

Positive experience: The doctor that my baby see is great however I’ve been coming across with issues that are addressed by this office last minute. First issue I had a few months back when my son needed his second dose of the flu shot vaccine. I made the appointment but then they called a few days later to tell me it’s unavailable so I reschedule it for another day. On the day of I was literally in the parking lot taking my son out of his car seat, went inside and the receptionist said they don’t have it available. Another heads up would have been nice instead of me going there for nothing. My next issue happened today. I scheduled my son’s 12 month appointment months ago. His appointment is suppose to be tomorrow (Thursday May 20) they then call me the day before the appointment to tell me I have to reschedule it. Rescheduling an appointment is fine but notifying me just the day before is ridiculous. If issues come up people need to be notified days to a week prior. It’s very unprofessional.
