Fantastic experience: Danny really listens, explains things well, and answers all of your questions. He doesn't prescribe things that aren't necessary and always checks to make sure you are ok with his recommendations. I feel like I can trust him. I've been to doctors for years who said, your labs are fine. Although not inexpensive, they do extensive lab work to get the full picture and find the root cause. Everyone who works here is an integral member of this dream team. I have met with Danny Bruns, the PA, who is ALWAYS prepared, takes time to answer all my questions, explains each piece of the report with care and clarity, and is truly a gift to this field. After my initial appointment with him, I completed a series of lab tests and quickly received the results in my patient portal. Dr. Kanodia discussed the results with me and recommended a plan that includes supplements, lifestyle changes, and access to Tammy Gaitten, the AMAZING health coach. Angie Dugan, the NP, has also been present in a couple of my Zoom appointments (they also offer in-person options) and is insightful and encouraging. I have yet to meet with their dietitian, Lauren Popelas, but that will be my next step. In the three months that I have been working with the functional medicine team at Kanodia MD, my health has already dramatically improved. I feel empowered and excited to continue this journey of optimal health and wellness. Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with Dr Kanodia and his staff since August 2023. I was dealing with a lot of anxiety, scattered brain, and was on medication for Crohn’s disease. Based on extensive labs, we’ve curated a healing gameplan specific to my body’s needs. Fantastic experience: My son is a former patient of Dr. Kanodia’s, and he has transformed his life from sickness and medications to living a healthy, symptom free lifestyle. I am a current patient. At the lengthy initial appointment, we discussed my concerns and symptoms. Dr. Kanodia put a plan in place and after lab results were in, I was informed that I was gluten intolerant. No other doctor was able to give me that information. I had been struggling with these symptoms (arthritis, congestion, digestion issues) for decades. Going gluten free has resolved all of these issues. All the swelling in my joins went away. All the congestion that I contributed to allergies went away and my digestive issues resolved. Dr. Kanodia’s staff has also been a huge help in my transition to gluten free. I had reservations at first but Steph (Health Coach), Lauren (Nutritionist) and Danny Bruns (Physician’s Assistant) have been instrumental in coaching me and giving me the knowledge to change my life. I recommend Dr. Kanodia and his practice without hesitation.

Negative experience: Unfortunately Dr.Kanodia was not able to help my husband. We tried all recommended protocol, supplements and meds and his thyroid issue after close to 2 years of ongoing treatment is still not resolved. He tried many of the IV therapies and alternative brain body balance regimens and no improvement was seen. We were willing to invest in the functional medicine without insurance help but sadly we did not get any of the results we hoped for. The last several visits were just labs work and adjusting meds and waiting for better results, to no avail.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Dr. Kanodia for several months now. Prior to starting with him and his team, I had experienced a number of health issues that had significantly impacted my quality of life. What may seem a small, but significant example of their effectiveness is when they asked about my water intake, and also how I was getting my water. Fantastic experience: I went to Danny at Kanodia M.D. after learning that Hpylori was resistant to antibiotics. I was hesitant because my husband wasn’t totally on board. He didn’t trust traditional doctors. And I really couldn’t explain functional doctors to him bc It was new to me as well. I was desperate and in very bad shape. So my husband was Hoping Kanodia M.D. would help. I believe it’s been 6 or 7 months and my husband is rejoicing with me and so grateful that I’m doing so well. I went to see Danny at Dr. Kanodia’s office and honestly I didn’t have a lot of hope because I had so much wrong with me. I felt like I was dying. Chronic anemia with constant blood transfusions bc my hemoglobins were always too low. I also had bad fatigue, Dermyomiasitis an autoimmune decease, and lung decease with oxygen 24/7. Onset diabetes and macular degeneration, as well as Hpylori. I thought I’m on social security surely I can’t afford to pay for all this. So I went for my most pressing issue Hpylori and after being treated for my gut (hpylori) my macular degeneration got healed, my hemoglobins are up to 11.2 so I am no longer needing blood transfusions. Or considered to have Chronic anemia. I can go without my oxygen for up to 8 hours. Healing is taking place everywhere. God used Danny as the vessel to bring healing to my body. Miracles are sometimes Instant and sometimes like mine takes a little longer, but the fact is that I was very sick but now I’m healed. ITS A MIRACLE! Negative experience: Seems like he’s in a rush. Only cares about “solid” patients aka celebrities… If you have the money but you’re a “nobody” he will act like it’s an in and out procedure. No lack of empathy for very anxious patients. Good work; but poor care.

Danny is a wonderful PA, and both Steph, my health coach and Lauren my dietitian have been super supportive. Fantastic experience: The supplementation I am on is now only effective with my short term goals (better sleep, less fatigue, better digestion) but I feel laser focused lately with both work and personal tasks. Positive experience: Dr. Kanodia is very skilled at diagnosis however his business model is very expensive and requires so many different staff it becomes very diluted & lacks continuity. His PA Danny is outstanding and the star in this practice. He is just as knowledgable but his approach is much more caring and collaborative...he allows questions, isn't defensive and customizes his approach to your mental & physical needs. In my experience working with Lauren the dietitian was a waste of money. She gave "canned" plans and was condescending. (You would get way more for free following Dr Mark Hyman on instagram). In the end I found a much more reasonably priced functional medicine provider who was able to handle resolving my issues without the need of multiple "other" staff which provided not only a much cheaper route but a higher level of overall care and satisfaction.

Fantastic experience: This has been one of the best medical experiences I’ve had. Previously dealing with Ulcerative Colitis symptoms and a dr that prescribed immunosuppressant drugs such as humira with no improved results. After seeing Danny for a just a few months I’ve learned more about my gut and the specific bacteria that cause me problems. I am happy to say I feel better than I ever have before since being diagnosed with UC.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Kanodia for around 5 years now. Before him I was seen by a few other doctor's who put me on thyroid medication because of my low levels. Despite the meds, I was still feeling exhausted and run down. I then went to an endocrinologist who put me on different meds, was diagnosed with hashimoto's thyroiditis, but still was not feeling better. I was told there was nothing else they could do and that this was my life. I didn't appreciate that and started looking elsewhere as my symptoms were being treated but not the root issue. Enter Dr Kanodia. He is soft spoken but to the point. He doesn't make you feel bad if you fall off the wagon or can't afford a certain treatment. To that point he is out of network and might be out of certain budgets. I will say that they are great about providing the itemized documents you need to submit to insurance. He is worth every penny. After a series of tests we discovered I have a severe gluten intolerance/celiac and my gut was all kinds of messed up. He put me on a thyroid med that didn't have gluten binders, got me on an AIP diet to see what else my body was reacting to and focused on stress reduction. He treats the ROOT cause of the issues and not just the symptoms. He wants the end goal to be that his patients are living their best lives with treatment based on their actual needs. Here I am years later and basically just need a quick follow-up appointment, mainly to refill my prescription and verify there aren't any new issues. I would be remiss if I did not comment on the other staff at the office. They are all wonderful and I have yet to interact with one whom was not personable and kind.

Fantastic experience: I started my journey back in August with Dr Kanodia and his team. I came in with a list of issues I was having. Meeting with Dr Kanodia he came up with a treatment plan for me. I did a few at home test and started on supplements. My main goals were my tiredness, lack of focus, body pain and my weight. With the treatment plan that has been set up for me I now have more energy, focus and less pain!! This truly has been a blessing for me. I'm starting to feel like myself again. I have just started my journey with the nutritionist. So I'm excited for this next step in my treatment. As for my pain. I have been doing injections. They are painless to me. For others maybe not. I have had a lot of issues with my lower back and right hip. I was told that I needed a hip replacement but I felt that I was to young for one. So I have tried several different things to take the pain away or manage it. With coming to Dr Kanodia it was recommended that I do deep injections with Danny. My first injection was over four weeks ago. I went in with pain lever on a scale from 1-10 at a 7. I just did another injection last week and when I went in I was at a 0! My back and hip are feeling great!! No pain or issues. In the past I have tried cortizone shots and they only lasted a few weeks. I have truly loved my experience I have had so far with Dr Kanodia and his team. They all truly care about your well being and want you to reach your goals!! Fantastic experience: I first came to Kanodia MD in July after experiencing a number of symptoms related to PCOS. I was looking for a different kind of medical care that considers the whole body and all of its systems together. Dr. Kanodia spent time with me, really listening to me talk about my past medical history. He asked questions that showed his willingness to think way beyond traditional medical approaches. He suggested I start with functional medicine lab work and try their protocol called “Brain Body Reset.” I’ve seen Danny Bruns, PA, for a number of these treatments and highly recommend him. He shows genuine concern when I’m describing my joint pain and takes time figuring out how best to treat it. I’m feeling so much better and can tell that the inflammation in my joints is easing. In just a couple of months, my hip, knee, and elbow feel so much stronger. I thought I would have joint pain the rest of my life thinking it was “normal.” Now, thanks to Danny, I know that joint pain is not normal! I’ve also had the pleasure of working with Nicole Altman, LPN, for these sessions and highly recommend her approach as well. I’ve also worked with Lauren Popelas, RDN, LD, the office’s functional medicine dietitian. Negative experience: Good functional medicine doc lacking a good medical practice and support staff. You can get better care elsewhere, with the same medical expertise, in Columbus. Aside from that, note that they don’t accept insurance but outsource lab work through labcorps m, who is most likely in-network but because of how they choose to bill/outsource, this will be an out of network lab charge. The positive reviews that led me to this practice, in hindsight, are probably unfamiliar with functional medicine In general and we’re bound to be satisfied with the plan. But this was the worst medical office I’ve encountered in the past decade.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kanodia has a very different approach in helping people get well and I find it amazing. He is all about treating the person and not the symptoms. Few months after my initial appointment I have seen results that got me motivated to keep going and get to the bottom of my issues. I love that he takes time to listen to your issues and I dont feel rushed at these appointments. The staff is awesome, friendly and the atmosphere in the office is peaceful and motivating.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kanodia and his staff have helped me improve my overall health by 80-100%. I started out with multiple issues including joint inflammation and pain, fatigue, premenopausal/menopausal symptoms, foggy brain, high blood pressure, insomnia and allergies. The approaches used have led to many symptoms resolving/disappearing and others are reduced by about 80%. Won’t sugarcoat, it is more expensive than my conventional PCP but the excellent results and the fact that they spend time explaining my test results is worth it to me. I highly recommend DrKanodiaMD if your traditional medical avenues have not provided you with some or all relief. I’m starting functional nutrition guidance now!

Fantastic experience: I started coming to Dr. Kanodia for several medical conditions. I suffer from anxiety, high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis.
