Family Rehab Care (FRC)

Fantastic experience: Over the past three years, I’ve visited four different therapists for my shoulder, but each time, I left feeling disappointed and frustrated. None of them treated me well or genuinely helped fix my shoulder. It felt like they didn’t care about their patients or their recovery. I was starting to lose hope, but thankfully, my doctor, Salah, who works at Prospect Urgent Care, referred me to Family Rehab Care. To be honest, I was skeptical when I first came here. After so many bad experiences, I thought it would be the same as the others—I’d go for a few sessions, see no improvement, and eventually give up because no one really cared. But thank God, Family Rehab Care completely changed my mind and proved me wrong. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was different. The staff here truly cares about their patients. They don’t just treat you like a number; they take the time to understand your situation and create a personalized plan to help you heal. Every session is focused on progress, and I leave feeling better each time. For the first time in years, I’ve seen real improvement in my shoulder, and it’s all thanks to their expertise and dedication. What really stood out to me is the atmosphere. The workers here are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. They’re always smiling, kind, and welcoming, which makes a huge difference when you’re going through a tough recovery process. They go above and beyond to ensure that every patient feels comfortable, cared for, and supported. I can’t recommend Family Rehab Care enough. They’ve given me hope and results when I thought I’d never find relief. If you’re looking for a place where the staff genuinely cares about your health and well-being, this is it. Don’t hesitate to come here—they’ll take great care of you and help you feel like yourself again.

Fantastic experience: Family Rehab Care is a phenomenal facility! I had no idea what to expect going in (1st timer) but they definitely set the bar exceedingly high. The receptionist Chelsea has the best phone etiquette and was very pleasant. The owner is super cool ! Now let's talk about my amazing physical therapist SKYLAR. Skylar is super cool, she curated a plan/routine for me, she was patient/caring in her explanation throughout the process. The name of the facility is so fitting because you really do feel like family!! I have mixed emotions today being discharged. I'm elated that I'm better, but I will most certainly miss my weekly visits!! I will definitely be popping in, just to say heeeey Y'all!!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this clinic for PT for a couple months. I am impressed with the knowledge and courtesy of the staff. I appreciate that they have a large variety of exercises and recovery methods. By trying a variety of methods I have determined which exercises and recovery methods are most effective for my conditions.

Fantastic experience: If you're in need of rehabilitation for any reason, this is where you can come for compassionate and personalized care. Dr. Jawwad, Gabby, Ali, Skylar (et al) have worked with me, saw the horrible condition that a car accident left me in, and treated my whole being. From water therapy (hydro) and land-based (exercise) therapy to table-side electro-needling & acupuncture, every option available has been used to find the right treatment plan for me. *And they clean EVERYTHING!!!!!* On top of knowledgeable treatment, the atmosphere is less medical & more familial. The ladies at the front desk welcome you with friendly smiles and make entering & exiting pleasant. I cannot recommend FRC enough! I have been blessed to experience healing with such a caring team and you will too!

Fantastic experience: One of the best rehabilitation places for athletes or people in general. They work you into progressive overload and do constant checkups throughout your visits to make sure your injuries are progressing. 10/10.

Fantastic experience: Jay ali Gabby and Sky all took incredible care of me, 10 years of hip and back pain reduced in a month and half to the point I feel human again. If you have tried PT before and it didn't work or you are a new patient to PT, this is the place to try.

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is absolutely amazing! If you are looking for a team that is patient, kind, helpful, understanding and just over all fantastic.. this is the place for you!!! They will help you set up an action plan and encourage you to take more and more steps but only if you are ready! If you need to take a step back no problem they will take a step back and help build the strength and confidence. If the workout you are doing is uncomfortable they will find and alternative, if you feel great and want to move on they will challenge you with something a little more difficult and if you can’t handle it no problem! I highly recommend this spot for any physical therapy needs!!

Fantastic experience: Skyler is by far the best physical therapist I've seen and been able to work with in years my daughter is 9 months old and has tortecolus and skyler has been working with her and she is tremendously showing progress and loves to work with styler I recommend her for adults and children by far the best!!! Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at several pt clinics over the years and was thrilled I found Family Rehab Care so close to home. The therapists are knowledgeable, kind and patient. I actually looked forward to my visits because the staff not only demonstrated the exercises but explained how they benefited my condition. It's all about the mechanics! Even though the goal was to improve my condition to control pain and gain strength, I felt as though I was going to a gym to see a personal trainer. Upon my discharge, I was given copies of my exercises with modifications so that I could perform many of them almost anywhere if equipment wasn't available to me. I was very fortunate to have found Family Rehab Care.

Fantastic experience: If you're nervous about finding a good place for physical therapy, look no further. Everyone there is very friendly. The receptionists are welcoming and helpful. Jay is super knowledgeable. Ali and Skylar are also great. Only thing I would change is having 1 set therapist more consistantly, since they each have different ways of doing things. But they're all awesome and showed me different ways to help and manage my pain.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely enjoyed coming here for physical and occupational therapy. They really are like family. As soon as you come in they greet you by your name, a smile, and great energy. The therapy exercises helped me get strong and the loving, caring, and encouraging attitude of the staff and the other patients greatly contributed to me getting my strength back and recovering. I would not go anywhere else but here if I need physical therapy again!

Fantastic experience: I could not have done anything without Heather!!! She and Chelsea sets the tone as soon as you walk in!!! Everyone here is amazing! From PT with Jay, Ali, and Skylar to OT with Nergis, Stephanie and Allison and setting all my appointments with Chelsea & Heather…My stroke recovery was quick and almost painless!!! I’m back to almost 90% strength!!! This is an amazing team!!!

Fantastic experience: Thank God for this place; Jay is the best. I sprained my ankle pretty bad back in October when I was playing in the MISA basketball league. I was in a lot of pain & thought I was out from playing for the rest of the season. But thankfully Jay took care of me immediately & showed me a lot of great stretches/exercises to do to help my healing process. Because of him 2 months later I was able to get back into the basketball league & win the finals with my team It was one of the happiest moments I've had in a long time & I thank God for Jay. I 10/10 highly recommend all athletes & anybody that's looking for a physical therapist to go to him. He's great at what he does & cares about the people that come into his clinic. Fantastic experience: This group of people are awesome. From the first phone call to the last appointment. The receptionist, Chelsea, was always willing to help with any questions I had. The therapists have a ton of knowledge with many different treatments to help with any injuries. If I have to, I will go back to them for treatment.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love family rehab care.When i came in with my injury they were the nicest people and were ready to help me recover. I now know lots of ways to help me if my injury comes back to try to stop it. They have the best stuff I have never had a better experience with physical therapy.

Fantastic experience: Today I will complete my course of 12 PT appts. I have had PT before, and a lot of other treatments for the several issues in my back plus some arthritis. I have issues all over my body. My body has not felt this good in 10 years! I put shocks and struts on my truck yesterday and feel fine this morning instead of hobbling around after exerting myself. This speaks volumes about the staff's professionalism, knowledge and skill. Beyond that, they seem to be truly nice people that are truly concerned about your wellbeing. As a bonus, Jay the owner has the nicest hair I have ever seen. If you are a hair person with a wrecked body, this is the place for you. The picture below is what Jay's hair is like.

Fantastic experience: This Facility is the absolute best for ANY therapy. The receptionist, Chelsi, was amazing. Chelsi assured me that she would call me if they had any cancelations and two-three days later, she call me and said let's get you on your road to recovery, l have a cancelation. Since then, the Doctor created me a precise strengthening plan for me and I know that I will be back to work and doing all the things I love doing because every staff member is compassionate about all the patients well being. This was the main reason why I give them five stars, because it's hard to find good staff. This Facility for sure is the cleanest, hands down. I mean, any where you turn, someone is spraying with alcohol sanitizer,; including Doctor Jay. I could go on and on about this amazing Facility, because they are a Blessing to my needs, which is, an individual patient plan of service.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility with the best PT and PTA’s. Truly dynamic treatment and they offer Shockwave therapy that immediately eliminated my tendinitis (with therapy). Highly, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: From the very first phone call the service was amazing, my therapist Ali is the warms, caring, knowledgeable well educated , each staff member made the each treatment enjoyable, the state of art equipment amazing, very new building, always neat/clean , Ali always explained every treatment, from the begging to end, checking on me! Fantastic experience: I just finished up here with my care for a broken hand. I wanted a hand specialist and was having a hard time finding one that could take me within a reasonably amount of time. But when I called Family Rehab the receptionist was very friendly and helpful and fit me into their schedule. I was more than pleased with my OT, Jervis Jassim! Not only is she a hand specialist but was wonderful at explaining things to me and answering all of questions. Everybody was helpful and friendly! My hand is much, much better! I would highly recommend them, especially Jervis! Thanks for everything Family Rehab!

Fantastic experience: I have been to the facility a handful of times now and enjoy my experience working with the staff through my injuries. I have had dry needling, scraping, and some compression done and they’ve helped tremendously. Jay and Skye have been a big help with some other nagging pains I’ve dealt with recently. Definitely recommend their services due to attention to detail and actually wanting to see you get better and achieve better things, rather than just being another patient that comes in.

Fantastic experience: I had a fall back in May and hurt my shoulder. I’ve been coming here for about a 1.5 months and have had so much improvement with ROM and regaining strength in my arm. When I called they responded quickly and were able to get me in for my first appointment the following week! Ali is my physical therapist. He’s super cool and does an awesome job! Overall, I highly recommend FRC for your PT/OT needs.

Fantastic experience: Family rehab care is a great place to get you back on your feet. They are so patient with you(me). Second time back here and I still feel treated with care as the first time. My therapists were Ali and Sky Both worked great and pushed me to be better. Sky would always challenge me and made sure I was doing everything right. Even though I didn't work with Jay as much my second time joining he still would check in when we crossed paths and tell his jokes The Whole staff is very cool and caring! I'll be there soon again

Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with FRC off and on for about 5 years. The DPT, Jay, is the best PT I have ever worked with, and I have probably been to 8-10 places since 1996. Besides Jay, his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, encouraging and uplifting, each and every time time I go. They truly make you feel like part of the family and there is no way you can get that at a corporate chain rehab, They take the time to explain the “how” and “why” about your injury and then develop a plan of care individualized to each client. They will push you a little each time, in such a way that you will never even realize it, because I know they really want their clients to recover, and improve your quality of life. I have referred my own family to FRC, because I know they will receive the same experience that I do. I can’t say enough good things about Family Rehab Care. P.S. My daughter is in PT school and it is likely that she will work with Jay in the future as a bridge to getting her own clinic ❤️

Fantastic experience: I've been training with Zet for the past 4 months, and it has been an incredible journey. My overall experience has been great. Zet is not just a trainer; she’s a motivator and a mentor. She made every session enjoyable, even on days when I didn't feel like working out. She listened to my goals and concerns attentively and provided constant support and encouragement. Whenever I had questions or needed advice on nutrition or exercises to do outside of our sessions, she was always there with helpful insights. I would wholeheartedly recommend. If you're looking for a personal trainer who is knowledgeable, supportive, and dedicated to helping you achieve your fitness goals, Zet is the one to go to.The facility is very well maintained and all of the staff are very friendly.

My appointment were early in the am & I was always greeted with a smile from the receptionist the lovely Chelsi. I started off with the owner Jay. This is my second go around with him, he’s very professional & he definitely knows what he’s doing. Next few days I had Gabby, she’s a delight, very attentive to your needs. Then the last couple weeks I was there I ended up with Sky a.k.a Sgt Butt kick. She is going to get you where you need to be. Get ready to sweat!!! Fantastic experience: Family rehab care is awesome, I've worked with most of the staff and they are all really nice, understanding, helpful and friendly. My main pt is sky, Sargent sky is amazing and will help whip you into shape and keep you on track and focused. I've worked in a few other pt faculties and this place is the best one yet hands down. The own Jay is pretty sweet too

They work as a team and I especially like working with Skylar and Gabby Front staff are also wonderful and very friendly. I would recommend them highly.

Fantastic experience: This rehab clinic is the best one I've ever been to. I'm on my 2nd week and I'm already seeing a big difference on my mobility. The whole staff are very educated and cheer you on. I have MS and I'm doing PT and OT and I'm feeling so much more confidence. Love this place.

Fantastic experience: I started rehab here on 6/20 of this year for back and sciatic nerve pain. The title of the company; Family Rehab is just that, a Family. You are treated with so much care from the professional staff. Special thank you to the following physical therapists; Jawwad(J), Ali, Tauha(T), and Skylar. I'm on the right mend to getting well.

Fantastic experience: Very happy I choose to bring my 6 year old here for physical therapy. She had a freak accident And broke her fibia and tibia. Once she wore the cast and boot for 12 weeks she had a very weak foot, ankle and leg. She had a limp and walking in toe plus she was scared to break it again. Family rehab care helped her get her strength and confidence to use her leg again and great with kids very friendly staff.

From the lady’s up front to everyone of the therapist in the back you can’t single one out they are all caring, personable, fun and extremely knowledgeable about what they are doing and how they instruct and explain why you are doing a stretch, exercise etc… I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to go see them, you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: This is a great place to work out when you really need it medically. Once you enter the office your greeted with a smile and a humerous remark that makes you laugh instead of crying with your pain. All of the therapist really work well on any issues you may have just like a coach straight forward but really nice plus there's never a boring moment from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: It took me a few days to actually find a PT that worked with kids in my area. This place was everything all in one . I Took my 6 year old son here and everyone was amazing . He loved every bit of therapy . He doesn’t want to go which shows me that he got his job done plus some .

Fantastic experience: Looking for the best rehab facility in downriver? Well look no further than Family Rehab Care. They most definitely live up to their namesake, because you are treated like family by every member of the staff even if they don't personally train you. I was in need of occupational therapy on my dominant hand due to severe burns and skin grafts. My OT therapist, Nergis is extremely knowledgeable and she has a genuine care for your recovery. They even offer a complimentary service that most facilities do not offer or offer at an additional fee . Ask Nergis or intern Allison for details. Heather and Chelsea at the front desk greet you warmly at the front desk and are experts at making sure you have no surprise billing. I hope this helps. You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Hands down one of the best physical therapy’s I’ve ever had. I was in physical therapy and it didn’t really help. They didn’t teach me anything. So I kinda gave up hope for physical therapy. Years later I was told I needed physical therapy again and I literally just searched physical therapy near me and they were the first to pop up. I have never been so in love with going to physical therapy. Everyone is so encouraging. They really work together so well and you can see the bond between everyone. They really teach you about your body and the muscles and how it works. I’ve learned so much and feel sooo much better. My pain in certain areas have decreased. I absolutely recommend this place. They’ll make you feel like family

Fantastic experience: This was the absolute best place I have ever went to for physical therapy. I worked with Jay, Tauha & Ali, they were all very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Heather that works at the front desk is also extremely knowledgeable and helpful! The atmosphere here is very inviting and the trainers try to keep everything fun and engaging. There were a few days I didn't want to go to PT but after I went, I felt a lot better physically, mentally and emotionally. I am definitely planning to return if needed!

Fantastic experience: By far the best physical therapy clinic I’ve been too. Very personal, you can tell your therapist cares about your injury. Very intelligent therapist working here as well no cookie cutter exercises you can tell they give good thought to programming you to better health. High recommend!

Fantastic experience: I took a shot in the dark with this establishment after finding them on Google and being near by where I live. I'm a partial paraplegic as I've regained a little movement a long time ago and it's been many years since I've been back to PT. This place is phenomenal. The therapists challenge me with new exercises and test my potential with what I can do. I can tell we are making good progress for the situation I'm in. I work with Tauha almost all of my time here and he is an awesome therapist and a very nice. Jay is one of my favorites as well. Very intelligent with what he does and down to earth. Heather at front desk is also a big sweet heart when you get to talking with her. She also helps the therapists when needed Overall, I'm happy I found this place. 2 months strong with them and counting. Can't wait to see the future progress

Fantastic experience: Super knowledgable and friendly staff. Best experience medically despite the circumstances. The staff here exercise great attitude and a genuine empathy that really helps the rehabilitation process. From the front desk always profesional and very accessible(never get put on hold, never a headache with scheduling or any questions), to the physical therapists themselves. Always willing to answer any questions and you can tell they personally care about your rehabilitation. I had the opportunity to be under the care of each one of the therapist and each one was a five star experience. I couldn’t recommend this place anymore. They really do make you feel like family.

The name Family rehab really does this physical therapy business justice… They have made my son and myself really feel like family from the second that I walked in and expressed by action and words how much they care about my health getting better. Fantastic experience: I've been through other rehabilitation facilities since 2016 but none compare to the knowledge, professionalism, courtesy and understanding as the staff here at Family Rehab Care. For just over the last year after my lumbar fusion, rotator cuff surgery, knee replacement surgery and both bicep tendons severed, the staff has helped motivate and strengthen me physically and mindfully. Fantastic experience: Absolutely hands down recommend coming here over anywhere else around downriver. All of the staff are so lovely and so understanding of everything that may be happening in your life on top of your physical therapy. The treatment is personalized to each individual and they will address whatever concerns you have with your health and pain. I initially came in because I had chronic back pain with no clear cause, and throughout my treatment we were able to fix the pain in both my feet and help correct some of my posture problems that were giving me shoulder pain, even though that isn’t what I came in for. My back feels 100 times better since I went in and I’m able to do so much more now with my life, and I’m better able to tolerate my work environment that was causing me even more pain on top of my existing problems. They really go out of their way to build a personal connection with you during and after your treatment, and they make it very clear that you’re more than welcome, and encouraged, to come back after you’re discharged to continue building that strength and keeping that pain away for good. I absolutely love this place and I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else should I need physical therapy again on the future ❤️❤️
