Fantastic experience: Dr. Seun and teams at the Freehold and Jackson offices, I don’t know where to begin! My family and I are extremely appreciative and grateful for the professionalism, the compassion and the support that we have received these past three weeks. My husband had hernia repair surgery in October 2024 and my daughter had gastric sleeve surgery 8 days ago. My husband did his research and found Dr. Seun through a partnership that our insurance offered. He was so impressed with his first consult with Dr. Seun that when my daughter brought up the option of the weight loss surgery, we knew he was the doctor for her to consider. Fantastic experience: I had the gastric sleeve on December 11, 2023. Since then I lost 115 pounds and still going. I exercise 6 days a week and follow a healthy diet, while tracking my food/water intake daily. I feel as if I have a new lease on life. Fantastic experience: Dr. Sowemimo is a wonderful surgeon. I would recommend anyone struggling with weight loss to go to his practice. I'm 9 months post-op now. I've never felt better! I'm a size that I never dreamed possible. I'm smaller now than I was in high school. My confidence is at an all time high. I felt healthy enough to start going to yoga and try outdoor activities, like tubing and hiking. I don't feel limited anymore by my body.

Fantastic experience: As far as surgeons go, Dr. Seun is one of the best. Recovery and healing were optimal. I highly recommend Prime Surgicare for any bariatric needs. The office staff are wonderful and so helpful. The one issue I have is the wait time. Appointment times seem to be suggestive, you may be seen on time or you may be waiting an hour. HOWEVER, that being said, the reason for the wait is the care that is given to every individual. You are not rushed, Dr. Seun takes the time to address all concerns and questions. In the long run, I think it's a fair trade.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Sowemimo is very friendly and down to earth. The sleeve surgery i had went perfectly. Very little of any scaring. The staff is the same very friendly. They are the best doctors office o have ever been to. I was 360 pounds went I first saw them. That was back in September of 2023 now April of 2024 I am down just over 100 pounds. Off my cholesterol medication and off of my two blood pressure medications. All thanks to Dr Sean his staff and the surgery I have Best decision I ever made for my help. Fantastic experience: I thoroughly recommend Dr. Seun Sowemimo for surgical services for hernia repair. As a result of my first extremely positive surgical experience (left side inguinal hernia repair) with Dr. Seun nearly four years ago, I had again chosen him for my most recent surgical needs (right side inguinal hernia and umbilical hernia). Dr. Seun utilized his God-given skills in a highly effective manner to my benefit. He possesses a caring bedside manner and takes the time to answer questions and to provide explanations. In line with my wishes, he was able to schedule my surgery in a timely manner. Throughout the entire process including my follow-up office visit, he exhibited genuine concern for my well-being. In addition to his knowledge and skills, he is very personable, even to the point of introducing himself informally as ”Seun” to my son who had accompanied me to the hospital on the day of my surgery. Dr. Seun and his office staff are courteous, friendly, and professional as were his entire team (with excellent care) from reception to discharge from the hospital.

Fantastic experience: I went into the surgery with an A1C of 12.3, it is now 3 months post surgery and I am down 64 lbs with an A1C of 6, taken off insulin, taken off of Lisinopril.

Fantastic experience: I was very lucky to come across Dr. Sowemimo and Prime Surgicare. I was brought into the ER with intense stomach pains. The pains ended up being a lap band that eroded into my stomach and caused an abscess and infection. Dr. Sowemimo performed emergency surgery and was amazing throughout the whole process. He explained everything, was patient with me and my family during recovery and made a really scary time a lot more manageable.

Fantastic experience: I struggled with my weight all my life. I have tried so many things and meet so many doctors to achieve weight loss with no success. Someone recommended Dr. Sowemimo, I thought well l have nothing to lose. I went to my appointment with my notebook, pen and started asking questions. He asked me is this an interview? I said “yes”. Fantastic experience: Dr. Sowemimo and team are great. I used my company’s program to get my surgery. I was having some perimenopausal issues that caused weight gain after VSG. Dr. S. listened to my concerns and assured me we could solve my issues. My acid reflux issues are now nonexistent. No more acid reduction meds. The office staff was helpful throughout the process. I drove in from PA for all of my appointments and surgery and they were more than accommodating. I am down about 40lbs after my revision and I am loving the results. I healed quickly and had zero complications. I would highly recommend this team for all of your baristas needs.

Negative experience: My experience with this doctor was both disappointing and annoying. After going through the entire process of scheduling my hernia surgery, he just canceled me due to a disagreement about my medication. There were obviously other options after I consulted with 3 other surgeons but he did not present them to me. Was it ego or just not knowledgeable? Wasted my time!

I appreciate that the surgery was scheduled far enough out (about 3 months) that I had time to really wrap my head around the big change I was undertaking. Fantastic experience: Dr. Seun has been nothing but amazing. This isn’t some easy fix and it’s a learning process. Between him, the amazing girls in the office and the nutritionists, they’ve all been a great support system for this lifestyle change I’ve made!

Fantastic experience: I visited Dr. Sean after doing my homework and he came highly recommended. His practice made the process seamless without the need for grueling pre-operative diets and only insurance required hoops to jump through. I came to him disabled, with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, diabetic, sleep apnea, with no quality of life. 3 months post surgery I am down 80 lbs and happy to report all of my previous ailments, save my disability, have resolved themselves. My primary care doctor told me the surgery probably added 20 years to my life and I have no reason not believe him. Fantastic experience: Dr. Seun did an incredible job in the surgical process of my gastric sleeve surgery, his entire staff is inviting and helpful, and all of the support options are easy to reach and beneficial to anyones weight-loss journey. Fantastic experience: I saw Dr Seun a few days ago following a brief hospitalization. Office team very helpful in making arrangements. Dr Seun explained my situation so clearly and walked me though my medical record and CT scan. Such a knowledgeable, skilled MD and a kind man. I am going to follow his advice. Fantastic experience: I am 3 months post op from VSG. I feel terrific and down 54lbs so far!! I was obese, had uncontrolled high blood pressure while taking 3 medications - nothing was working to lower it and pretty bad acid reflux. I needed to make big changes considering my family medical history so I went to Dr. Seun for help. He has an amazing team and the support I have gotten from him and staff is amazing! Fantastic experience: Dr. Sowemimo and his staff are punctual, professional and extremely knowledgeable. The worst part about many doctors’ offices is the wait time. I have never waited more than a few minutes, to be seen, at Dr. Sowemimo’s offices. He repaired my Inguinal hernia laparoscopically. He made three very small incisions. It’s been 4 months since my procedure and I can barely see any scaring. The healing time was 4 to 5 times faster than my first hernia repair, performed by a different doctor, which left a 2.5” scar by my groin. Dr. Sowemimo answered all of my questions thoroughly and to my satisfaction. His demeanor and knowledge really puts you at ease. I made a great choice while researching hernia repair doctors. I have already recommended family members to see him for their hernia repair. Dr Sowemimo and staff are outstanding.

Fantastic experience: AWESOME!!! Best word to describe Dr. Sowemimo and his staff! Having suffered for so long with horrific acid refux and nausea after eating, Dr. Seun has helped me now have to ability to eat right, enjoy the right foods and feel absolutely fantastic! Exercise was not my favorite thing to do daily, but I have found that with Dr. Seun, I put the work in and success has been my outcome!! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: There’s no question that this is a long process leading up to the surgery which can make it seem like there’s no end in sight. But knowing I had such a wonderful surgeon helped to put me at ease. The surgery went well and I’m doing pretty great now. Dr Seun is professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He has a great bedside manner and if you ever need to call the office for him, he will call back pretty much the same day. Dr Seun’s office team is really the MVP when it came down to insurance and appointments, they are pros. Fantastic experience: I have spent the better part of my adult life dealing with weight issues, and the health challenges associated with it. I was diagnosed as a Type 2 diabetic, along with high cholesterol , and high blood pressure. My stamina was at an all time low. I could not negotiate a flight of stairs without being physically exhausted. My weight had ballooned to 355 lbs. One day, when tying my shoes, I almost blacked out because I was simply tired. My highest weight last summer was 316, my Weight on surgery day was 298 and my current weight is 240. I’ve gone from a 24 size pants to 16 and 3-4x shirts to M/L. Fantastic experience: Dr. Auguste and Dr. Seun are both wonderful. They take their time with you and explain everything. Dr. Auguste performed my surgery, robotic VSG. Everything went perfectly! Fantastic experience: In July of 2021 I made a phone call to start a journey that would change my life forever. Mentally and physically I was at the lowest I had ever been and I didn't know what to do because nothing I did worked and I found myself falling back into a state of laziness and comfort eating. Fantastic experience: Dr Seun changed my life. Last year this time I was in pain, could barely walk with my knees, had no energy or stamina. I was missing out on so much. One short year later, with revision surgery behind me, I’m a completely different person than she who walked through the door to Prime SURGICARE for my consult in January 2021. Fantastic experience: I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Sowemimo and his crew over at Prime SurgiCare! They are all wonderful, accommodating, compassionate, and professional. Dr. Seun performed the sleeve gastrectomy surgery on me at the beginning of 2021. I had zero complications and his staff has been very supportive and helpful with any questions I have had along the way. Since then I was able to loose 85 pounds, with more to come. My weight-loss journey has been inspiring to many, so much so that my parent’s were motivated to join the bariatric community and got the sleeve as well! Fantastic experience: Dr. Sowemimo performed my sleeve gastrectomy on January 13, 2021. The first couple of days after surgery were pretty rough for me. I didn’t have any pain, but I had incessant nausea and I had a hard time resting. Once I was released from the hospital, though, I felt better and better each day. I progressed through the diet with few issues. There have definitely been frustrations and tough times, but I was able to work through them. Today, six months after the procedure, I weigh 100 pounds less than when I came in for my consultation, and I feel great. I can walk without knee pain, my blood pressure has stabilized, and I am no longer pre-diabetic. This is not a new feeling for me, either. I’ve been feeling this way for months already. Yes, my relationship with food has changed quite a bit, but overall I feel less restricted than expected. The way I feel when I think about big meals I can no longer eat is similar to the way I feel when I think about smoking (I was a heavy smoker before I quit 13 years ago). Sometimes I miss having a cigarette in a certain situation, but it’s just a passing thought. The way I feel when I think about eating a giant bowl of Chinese is just like that. I think that anyone considering this procedure will be pleased with the outcome provided they do their due diligence and truly understand everything involved ahead of time. If you are ready to make this commitment, I think it would be hard to find a better surgeon to perform this procedure than Dr. Sowemimo. There is a video on the Prime Surgicare YouTube account of Dr. Sowemimo performing the procedure, and it really helped me commit. The staff at Prime Surgicare were all pleasant and helpful, and they guided me through the long process of getting approved for the surgery (it’s not something you can do on a whim—by the time you’re approved, you’re sure you want to go through with it). I didn’t even think I’d be eligible for the procedure at first, so it’s worth looking into for anyone struggling with obesity. I think the approval process will help a lot of people decide whether or not this is a good option. I’ll end by saying I would absolutely do this over again with Dr. Sowemimo.

Their is a support group if needed and a lot of videos that are very helpful. This is the best decision I have ever made and I’m already down over 50 pounds in the first 9 months. Fantastic experience: I just had to take the time to write a review for this practice. Every single person you come in contact with from the moment you call for an appointment until you see the doctor is professional, kind, and caring. My mom and I have never been treated so nicely in a practice before. Jessica, Diana, and Dr. Auguste were phenomenal. My 81 year old mother had a hiatal hernia that caused her to lose 40 pounds and become bedridden within a matter of months. After numerous doctor visits and tests I felt she was written off as too old for the surgery to repair it. When we walked into this practice I didn’t feel that at all. The surgery was completed and Dr. Auguste visited her everyday in the hospital and kept me informed of everything. She is wonderful and so easy to speak to, she explains everything and was always positive. My mom is two weeks post surgery right now and is putting on weight and will be back to dancing in no time.
