Work Out West is a campus dedicated to health, fitness and wellness. We have classes, weight equipment, sauna, steam room, basketball, personal training, physical therapy, massage chairs, cold plunge and red light therapy options and much more all within our community.

Negative experience: I was breastfeeding my baby in my car when a WOW gym employee came out, knocked on my car window, and told me I need to leave his parking lot. No problem, I moved my car out of their “private lot”. All I’m saying is that there is a kind and decent way to do things, and that’s not it. I wouldn’t want to be apart of this kind of a gym or recommend it to others. ✌.
Im sorry. Your gymnastics center is supposed to make sure you are aware that they only have parking along their building. You also forgot to mention you were left a polite note and then just moved your car hoping we wouldnt notice. We thought reminding you would be better than towing you. There was no way to know you were feed a baby as we watched you move into a different spot. Next time we will just tow you.
Negative experience: Absolutely Disappointing and Unprofessional! My names Garrett Phillips I’ve been a loyal member at this gym for years, and I’m beyond disgusted with how I’ve been treated. Despite my long-term commitment, I fell behind on payments, and instead of handling the situation with professionalism, the staff had the nerve to tell me to borrow money from family or donate blood to make my payments! Seriously? That’s beyond disrespectful and wildly inappropriate. On top of that, for the $50 a month I’ve been paying, the equipment is outdated and rundown. The value I’ve been getting out of this place is a joke. If you’re looking for a gym that respects its members and invests in its facility, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place clearly has zero regard for customer loyalty or basic decency.
2nd UPDATE- after our second onversation we offered you a way to work off your balance and you said you couldnt take the time to do that. We never want people to struggle so we did offer a trade trying to help you out. UPDATE- You spoke with management personally on the phone yesterday and apologized for this review saying you knew Diane didnt mean anything by it. We also talked about you working off your past due balance and that you would remove this review since you said you didnt mean it. We are people of our word and waiting to see if you follow through with yours. Im sorry you had this experience. After interviewing all of my staff we realize you are Garrett Phillips and had been speaking with Diane. We took appropriate action with Diane. She wanted it noted that she thought you had a better rapport with her and was trying to be helpful with a little bit of humor. She was reminded that anything you say can and will be used against her if someone is upset about their past due balance. This will not happen again and both the club and Diane apologize if she upset you.
Fantastic experience: Looking for a new gym. Stephany was so nice over the phone and answered all the questions I had. She offered to help with paperwork since I have vision issues. It's rare to get exceptional customer service these days.

Fantastic experience: Gym was spacious where you could get a great workout and not be crowded. Sauna was exceptionally clean, as well as the locker rooms. Great clientele. Trainers seemed on point. Oh, by the way, 1st time in the gym. Do not live in the state. Got the thumbs up about this place from my cousin. When I head back next year, I will definitely hit the gym more than once. Great job goes to the staff there. Very clean and orderly for such a big facility. Thanks again.

Fantastic experience: My wife Dani has gone to WOW for years. The manager Sean is fantastic. He is down to earth, willing to help and his best quality is honesty. He is straight forward and the only people that don't like it are those attempting to get away with something as he won't stand for it! Love that! Cleanest best place around and price is super fair! Positive experience: Great gym been coming for many years. Definitely not as jam packed as the other facilities in town. A lot of my Family has memberships here and we always talk highly of the place. Only thing stopping from a 5⭐️ review is cleanliness of steam and sauna rooms. The hot tub, and cold plunge are cleaned regularly but sauna and steam room seem to be neglected sometimes.

Positive experience: Overall good gym and friendly staff. I worked out here for two years. I left because of a simple billing misunderstanding, I was told one thing by an employee, but charged another way. Management was very much so not willing to work with me regarding the misunderstanding, pretty disappointed with that after being a consistent member for two years.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming with my Husband using his buddy pass and I have signed up with my own membership today and I got to speak with the owner who is very nice and professional. He went out of his way to push through a request as I signed up through my job and he did not have to do that. I love the gym and the atmosphere it is definitely worth every penny!

Positive experience: great gym, good location. prices are a little inconsistent. first day signing up, the guy up front giving me information about the gold membership, said that it was $5 for a day pass to check out the gym. cool, came in today and brought a family member and suddenly the price was $20 she said? for me as a member for years it’s a little high, unsure why it is so much for a day pass. just the inconsistency and offers are not the same. all front desk people should have the information for all members. same with signing up, loved coming for the summer last year 99 day $140 membership. this year i came in and there was no such thing until i explained more in detail about what i bought last summer. asked in person and called, this deal wasn’t on the website either. just a little confusing and frustrating. otherwise the gym is pretty decent!
Sorry for the misunderstandings. All of our staff should know our pricing as there are basically 2 prices. One for gold and one for platinum. Student discounts are offered however they are not on the website as sign up option because IDs need to be verified in order to offer the discount and we cant control that while signing up online. $20 is the going daypass rate for most of the gyms in the area. We havent offered a $5 day pass in over 5 years. If you wouldnt mind letting us know who told you that price we would love the opportunity to re-train them. Thanks for coming back! We appreciate you!

Fantastic experience: I used to have an eating disorder and continue to have severe body image issues. Every other gym I’ve gone to makes me feel like I’m being judged or that I’m not good enough, etc. At WOW, everyone is so sweet and accepting. Wouldn’t consider changing gyms ever now. Seriously the best gym I’ve gone too.

Negative experience: Just moved to the state and am looking for a new gym. Lots of people mentioned Work out west to me. I thought dope let’s check it out come to their page and seeing how nasty the owner replies to some people. Not being able to take positive criticism for your own business. What are you 5 years old still trying to argue with people over the internet. Not a good look on your business in my opinion. No thanks, rather just get a membership at a professional establishment.
Since you've never been in to experience the actual feel of this facility this review should be chalked up to uninformative and most likely friends with someone who previously had issues and didnt appreciate the facts being added to their review.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to this establishment since I was 20, I'm 34 now and this gym is still my second home. There is a sense of community and respect within staff and other members, especially my early mornings crowd. We have created a beautiful family within members and something I really appreciate about coming here. Warm smiles of gratitude from Ric in the weekdays and Nick on Saturdays are always appreciated, this is really more like a home and family.

Negative experience: Worst experience I’ve ever had at a gym make it impossible to cancel and they allow males to act out inappropriately around women here. They don’t take any complaints of stalking or guys being weird seriously. This gym is a joke they allow predators to walk around like it’s a candy store. The manager must support it because he does nothing about it.
As we explained when you signed up and when you spoke to us on the phone, cancelations are as easy as filling out a cancelation form or mailing in a letter with your 30 day notice. You refused to listen to any of this in our phone call stating that it was too confusing for you. As for your claims of allowing anyone to act inapproriately they are 100 percent false. Any one who has ever brought a claim to management has been heard, videos watched and appropriate actions taken as needed. We do not take any claims lightly and will always investigate the safety of our members and have even asked members to leave when needed. It is probably a good choice that you are canceling your membership as you are not a good reflection on the quality of members that typically attend our facility.

Negative experience: I called to cancel my membership, the girl took my info said it was all good to go. I got a 32 point hit on my credit because they sent me to collections without a letter, phone call or email.
Staff is trained to let you know that you must come in and fill out paperwork or mail in a letter. It is also explained when you sign up. You cancelled and we have your initials and signature where you understood there was another payment left on the account. I wish we could post the picture of it but Im stuck to words only. The request was processed, however you failed to make your last payment due to closing your credit card account and never paid the past due balance. We even emailed and text you several times to remind you that you must be current with no past due fees for your account to close. In our notes I show 4 text messages to you and Anjel as well as at least 3 emails. Below was emailed as well as text to you along with past due statements several times before you were ever sent to collections. " Kaycci, this email is your confirmation of your pending membership cancellation. As long as you are current on your account you need not do anything more. We hope to see you back in the future and you have been a welcome part of our Work Out West family. Please call 1-800-525-8967 if you have any further questions"
Fantastic experience: I'm a new member, but Work Out West is really nice and I feel good about choosing this gym. The price is great for the amount of amenities provided, staff is friendly, lots of options for equipment, and the machines don't feel crowded like other gyms I've been a member at.

Fantastic experience: I travel a lot for work and have used many gyms across the country. There is truly something to be said for Work Out West, the services they offer, and their instructors. It is so comforting when I return to the gym and I am acknowledged by name. Additionally, I had given up on spin class years ago because of an awful experience. I joined the Thursday morning class at the encouragement of other class members. A huge shout out and thank you to Erin O for welcoming me, helping me get the bike set up for me, and not only ensuring I was doing well during the class, she followed up with me to ask how I liked the class and invited me back.

Fantastic experience: I was in town for business for 2 weeks. I got a guest pass and was able to keep up with my fitness goals on the road. The gym staff was warm and inviting and helpful at every interaction. The exercise equipment selection was top notch. The gym was clean and well kept and pleasing layout wise. To be honest one of if not the nicest gyms I have ever been in. Considering it was 100°F outside the gym stayed cool to where I was not uncomfortable. It has all the amenities one could ask for in a gym. The clientele or members of the gym was also good and well mannered. No drama with sharing machines or anything. When I go back to town on business I will be going back.

We are sorry you feel this way. This is why we keep notes: "Helen came in 8/3/22 to cancel. She was under the impression that she could cancel at any time by paying a 50 dollar fee. I explained to her that cancellations can''t happen while in contract, but that it is a 30 day period. I let her know the 50 dollars was the annual fee assessed on all accounts and that she would need a medical note, proof of moving, or to pay out the remainder of her contract in order to cancel. She left without saying anything else." Helen never came in to cancel and then called today stating that she did cancel however also admitted she never came in to fill out her paperwork. Its unfortunate that not listening to the information you are given results in a business getting a 1 star review. Helen is very rude and called the assistant manager a profane word and walked out.
Negative experience: Work Out West is one of the worst gyms in Greeley. From a physical standpoint, the layout of the gym itself is very cluttered and at the same time spaced very strangely. While there is a lot of equipment, a majority of it is old and in poor condition (broken, rusted, outdated, etc). It is so hot inside and reeks of chlorine. The overall vibe of the place is just dark, dingy, and damp. From a business and ethical perspective, this place is just shady. From what I have experienced and from what I have read, they make it extremely difficult to get out of a membership. You must send in a physical letter or go in person to cancel. In my written letter, I explained my reason for cancellation as an unexpected change in finances, making this an expense I just can’t afford. Their response was that I needed to provide proof of moving at least 35 miles away AND pay a $100 fee or they would not cancel the membership. That just seems ridiculous to me. This is a gym membership, it should not be that serious. You would think from all the money they are making from people, they could afford to put in some A/C and some better equipment. Go to literally any other gym.
You agreed to all the terms when you signed up for your membership. There were other options you could have chose from but didnt. As for equipment we have been upgrading every aspect of the club. We also use bromine and not chlorine so there wouldnt be anyway to actually smell chlorine. We find that comment confusing. We understand youre upset. Every other gym would hold you to the same standard of honoring your agreement.
Fantastic experience: Just joined this gym recently and super pumped about being here. The overall feel this place gives is probably the best part. Plenty of equipment always, cold plunge is awesome, clean locker room, and great options for cardio.

Negative experience: Work out west has seen it’s better days. T R U L Y what once was a primer Gym has lost itself to horrible management. It’s sad to see what this establishment has turned into. Poor customer service. Broken equipment. Latches and pins that shouldn't even be allowed on equipment anymore. Don’t think about trying to work on an account or cancel one because the manager is never there. Or too busy partaking in drama to correct issues with customers. Had to follow up and drop off letters 4 plus times to workers. This seems to be a common occurrence. Let alone adding people or taking them off. Took me about six months to see why I had multiple accounts open before one could go to collections instead of combining them because management is never around to follow up or help customers. No returned calls, emails; nothing.(One way to make up for missing accounts that have left to Golds Gym) Canceling my membership was the best thing I could have done. Love seeing the manager talk horribly about past members having issues on his Facebook and blasting private business information all over social media. One thing to bash people for not paying their accounts and it’s another to never be in your office to cancel and or follow up with customers and find resolutions. Don’t forget they don’t have a working security camera on the premises let alone around any of the facility after the current happenings of Greeley when addressed my concerns of security on the premises not one security camera worked in the parking lot. I would think twice before signing up. What once was. There are plenty of other gyms around the area that would love your support and your money, Without the Hassle.
For some reason you keep trying to refresh your review. Unfortunately your review is full of fabrications. Anyone reading this review keep in mind the below There are so many things to address here. 1. Management and assistant manager are always available to handle concerns 2. Security cameras are everywhere. 36 or more actually 3. Some of your family has been caught cheating the club by sneaking in. 4. We have tried to help every person in your family get a resolution to their issues Some people are always just going to be unhappy and make up stories to try and hurt others.

Im sorry you feel that way. There not a new owner. We are still owned by the same owners for over 20 years. The initial reason for the basketball court being shrunk was to spread out for covid safety. Since then the half court has been more popular than the full court and has allowed us to have more room and space. Please dont spread false information. We are always willing to tell you exactly why we have done what we have with the facility.
Fantastic experience: Don’t listen to all these negative Nancy’s, people of Greeley. This gym is amazing. Workout West has the room for athletes to enjoy their space and has everything you need. You never have to wait in a line for any machine or free weights. Staff are friendly and helpful. Most importantly for me. They have the MMA equipment. Highly recommend

Negative experience: This is by far the dirtiest gym I’ve gone to. It’s frustrating because I love coming here. I love the people and the staff. However, this place has done a poor job keeping it clean.

I was afraid to post because I see the manager argue with folks on here defensively. But I wanted to tell my story in case other parents went through something similar.

Negative experience: The gym itself was inviting and they did provide good service, my only reason for a negative review due to cancellation. I did walk into the property asking for the cancellation of my membership 3 months prior to the end of my annual term. The employee did not inform me in regards to the paperwork and did not note my cancellation. I needed to relocate and would pay out the rest of the contract but I was charged in total of $236.00 due to in contract I was to go in person 30 days prior to end the membership (which I had done 90 days prior to cancel). The team was good in helping me get things canceled but I did not receive money back due to negligence of an employee working that day. I enjoyed the staff but the general knowledge was not present. In cost was a decent charge on my account which they felt apologetic but was not largely concerned in pursuing reprimand.
We are sorry for your experience. We did cancel your membership without the paperwork required to help you out. We have also terminated the employee you referenced for failure to provide accurate information.

Positive experience: Not a bad website, but I wanted a clear answer to monthy membership. It has a page for promotional initial fees and I found a monthly range, but it still isn't clear to me.

Fantastic experience: We love work out west! We’ve been coming here for over a year and it feels like home. We love everything that comes with the facility (free weights, machines, sauna, swimming pool, etc.) I definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love all the ladies that work in the daycare at WOW! I have 3 littles ages 2, 4, and 5 and they ABSOLUTELY love going to the gym with me! We adore Miss Jen and Miss Tracey! I feel completely comfortable leaving the kids with them! Best gym around!

Fantastic experience: We’ve been using the Kidscare at WOW since April 2021, and we have been really happy with it. Our daughter does holiday crafts, coloring, etc. on top of playing with toys and the other kids. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked in to pick her up and one of the attendants is on the floor playing with the kids. They all know my daughter her by name (as does the front desk staff), and she loves it, too. I recommend WOW to everyone, especially if they have kids!

Positive experience: I have been a member of this club since 2012. I really enjoyed the classes and thought everyone was very friendly. When asked during covid if I wanted my membership frozen I said no so that it would help the employees be able to keep getting paid. However now that my job is changed and I no longer can come to workout West we ask for a cancelation early in December and was told that we had to wait 30 days which meant my membership came out again in January.. When I called I was told nothing they could do but they would have a manager call me The manager called me told me the same thing I'm very disappointed that my membership came out again in January when we worked so hard to help employees there. Because of poor customer service I will not recommend this club. Thanks for your response to my review, at least I finally got you to talk with me. I have worked in business where I know how cancelation policies work so I know a phone call from you would have been all it would have taken. So sad that's how you run your business. A refund for January would speak highly of your concern for your members.
Im sorry you feel this way. When you signed your contract as well as the 30 day cancellation notice it was thoroughly explained and you even had to initial next to the line where it says it takes 30 days to process the cancellation and may result in one final billing. There was no information hidden or kept from you as we explain this process very clearly to avoid confusion that other facilities run into when staff just has everyone sign without this explanation. You will find that this 30 days is an industry standard. I hope you will take that into consideration for any future membership be it with us or another club.
Negative experience: I was charged my membership due for January by mistake. My acct is frozen due to covid issues until March 30th. I called WOW and after a lengthy conversation WOW said they would refund the dues.. i also informed my acct was hit with overdraft fee.. WOW informed me to call the Billing office to get them refund the overdraft fee. The billing company said they would not refund the overdraft fee.. So long story short i have been a member for over 10 years, i iwll be cancelling the membership, thanks WOW, I hope you buy some equipment with my over draft fee.
You sir have had a constant issue in the last year and a half with paying your dues and you always have a reason why you wont. We froze your account for you for almost a year straight as a courtesy when we normally only allow a 3 month freeze without a medical note. We also spent a combined total of over 3 hours between management and the processing company digging in to your account with all of the late fees for payments not going through(which were all waived as a courtesy) even before your freeze. If you are this unhappy with the exceptions we have made for you we will go ahead and cancel your membership. We only want to have members that appreciate what we are trying to do and have the best family as our members. We wish you the best and good luck to you.
Negative experience: This place was asking for money when they were shut down due to covid. Now that the customers get covid they can't help them out. Been with them 1.5 years. I wanted to support local businessBut the company doesn't support the locals what a shame
Mr. MARTINEZ We never asked for money during covid. Quite to the opposite we shut our memberships off and anyone that opted to pay had the money given straight to the employees instead of our club taking any of it. You bounced your account with us several times and have never once mentioned covid or even called us untill 2 weeks after your account bounced the 2nd time. We have worked with many covid and other cases of illness. Unfortunately your failure to communicate has not allowed us to help you.
Negative experience: did the year commitment and regret it very much. i had been there for 4-5 years and they never bothered to remember my name. the equipment is probably as old as the gym (35 years), many of the dumbbells are broken and the basketball court is only half court. sean was also rude when i asked where a piece of equipment was. really wanted to support local business but they make it hard to want to continue to do that. the terms of the contract are also bogus because to end the contract you have to move more than 35 miles away or have an injury to only freeze the payments on your membership, definitely not worth paying $40+ a month especially bc they close everyday at 10pm and 7 on the weekends.
I'm sorry to see this review. We pride our facility in a warm and friendly family environment and the majority of our members will disagree with your statements. We have also replaced a large portion of the dumbbells with brand new ones in the last month and have just ordered even more replacements for the collection of weights that we have accumulated. We have begun to implement a major plan for upgrades and remodeling including new equipment. As for the contract terms you are incorrect. When you have fulfilled your 1 year commitment all we need is a 30 cancelation request filled out. If you wish to break the contract however you do need to move 35 miles away which is explained when you sign your agreement and typical of most facilities. We also have month to month memberships for those that prefer not to have a commitment.
Fantastic experience: Very big complex with nice staff members and a great general Manager. Highly recommend this gym to people wanting to get back in the gym or even quit the gym your currently at.
