Fantastic experience: Staff and doctors very professional

Negative experience: Initial appointment with Dr.amin (and last one) was 3 min - from second 1 , he tried to push out the door. No manners - he should go back to school and learn how to access and treat people. All though young, there is only one thing in his mind - Cholesterol and statins and expensive unnecessary tests. I wouldn't recommend this place to NOONE.

Fantastic experience: Disregard negative reviews from negative people, the staff is great so are the doctors. Dr. Avhad and Dr. Agarwal are very smart, professional, knowledgeable and right on point, and Dr. Agarwal also has an extremely friendly personality! I wish she could be my family doctor. Thank you ladies, you are doing terrific job!!!!

Negative experience: Terrible Dr Office. Dont care about the patient just the $$ for cancelled appointments. Inconvenient and rude

Fantastic experience: Love that you don’t sit and wait a long time for your appointment. My mother needed medical clearance for surgery and Dr. Kaur was on point and it’s always pleasant to have staff that makes your visit more comfortable the front desk and the nurses that bring you back to your room were great. Thank you so much for the punctual care. We will see you guys soon at my mom next appointment.

Fantastic experience: Dr Agarwal has excellent bedside manners. She is very nice and very approachable which makes it easy for me to open up, quite honestly I really enjoyed talking to her. Did not feel like this was the first time I was meeting her. She listens and explains the treatment of care and next steps very well. I am so glad to find a doctor like her.

Negative experience: Try to avoid this facility. Bad customer service. Front desk staff so rude. Do not know how to greet the patient or customer. Front desk girl need to be retrained or fired. I was there today for nuclear stress test and after reporting she told us to sit in front waiting area till stress test employee has to find us. There is waiting room for stress test patients, why she put in the front waiting? Day before today I have appointment to their sister facility in East Brunswick and we were their on time @ 8:00 AM , Office door was locked but on apps it says it is open. I call Somerset facility to find out of EB office closed or we are at wrong facility? Same girl @ Somerset facility picked up phone and took information and put us on HOLD for 8 minutes and never responded. Dr. Singal is good but facility has to improve lot. Also waiting are was very cold. Keep the comfortable temperature.

Negative experience: Dr. Amin is unprofessional and does not know what he is doing. I’m giving 2 stars for the location itself but if you need a cardiologist I don’t recommend him. The first time I went to see him (being my insurance no longer covered my previous cardiologist) he asked me “where were you seeing a cardiologist before?” I told him, “Saint Peter’s University Hospital.” His response to me, “there’s no cardiology group at Saint Peter’s” … I was stunned as if he was calling me a liar, let alone him not knowing of every location of a cardiology group in the middlesex - Somerset areas. So, I reluctantly brushed it off. Fast forward, I needed my recertification for my handicap placard. I requested he fill out the application for my recertification, he told me he was not going to fill it out, to contact my PCP because “we don’t do that here, never heard of it” … I then advised him that my PCP said I need to get it from my cardiologist if it’s a recertification and my original recertification came from my cardiologist. I contacted Dr Amin’s office letting them know of this, they left me a voicemail saying “Dr Amin said he was NOT filing it out.” I said ,”ok, why?” They said he didn’t give a reason. I said “tell him to put that in writing he is not doing it.” Next thing I know I get a call back saying that he wants to see me first to complete forms instead (all of a sudden he will do it). I bring in my recertification paperwork from the DMV, and my FMLA paperwork from my job. After seeing me for less than 10 mins, He takes the papers and tells me they’ll be ready for pick up in a few days. I then get my FMLA paperwork and recertification paperwork for the handicap placard. I submit my FMLA documents to my job for my leave (for when needed, which excuses me for my cardiology visits and days off if I need it for any flare ups or epidsodes) Dr Amin wrongfully answered a question and my job sent me the paper back he answered wrong requesting he fill it out correctly and how he can answer it. When I gave the form to his staff up front, he then said he needed ALL the forms back he originally signed because he had no record of filling out the papers before (which is a problem because he should have made copies for my file and his records). I contacted my job for them to give me the papers back, they told me it would be a HIPPA violation to give me the forms signed by him back. I contacted Dr Amin’s office again in regards to them explaining he needs to fill the one form out correctly to submit for my FMLA. But when I requested him fill the papers out again, I was told he wants me to make an appointment for it. Now I refused because he wants me to make an appointment to get paid by my health insurance AGAIN for the same paperwork he already completed. On the paperwork, Dr Amin put “yes” on the FMLA originally with “unknown” as the amount of days for flare ups for my symptoms. FMLA says you can not answer with “unknown”. He was advised he can follow the records he had of me when I reported my “episodes” and How frequent they were based off his records. That he is supposed to fill it out that way. Not guessing or assuming. He then said he will be putting “no” instead on my FMLA follow up paper instead and he said he doesn’t believe I need to have a handicap placard or have FMLA for my POTS syndrome and he thinks I need to see another specialist instead. Not only did he switch his answers on my form because I told him no to his staff I would not allow my insurance to be billed again for this FMLA paperwork he could’ve had done correct my first visit but he also made it seem like my condition doesn’t require more attention or the severity of it. He is unprofessional and he will be reported.

Negative experience: Sent an email for an appointment on 8/22. Left a voicemail on 8/23. Today is 8/24 in the evening and I never heard back from anyone. I’m a new patient and would never choose a practice that is so unresponsive or hard to get ahold of. Pass.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Pratik Patel, his colleagues and staff are exemplary. They are professional, knowledgeable and above all courteous. Best cardiologist in Central New Jersey, and top 5 in the entire state.

Fantastic experience: I always have a great meeting with doctor Shah. He's always very thorough with his explanations. He's also always thinking ahead with next steps in my progress. To me, that's the most important thing!!!

Fantastic experience: Got me in next day. Friday before holiday. Nurse/technician was professional sent all paperwork were it needed to go. Receptionist were pleasant and helpful with paperwork. Could not have better service. In and out in like 20 minutes.

Negative experience: Saw dr.Ahmed as my pcp doctor one month ago. My insurance covers me for one free physical a year. I received a bill from them and saw they charged my insurance company for 2 things. I only had a physical now they saw i had preventive care. What is that? Dr will not return my call and spoke to office manger Patel who was very rude and would not let me speak. Now she wants to put me into collects if I don’t pay. This the second dr since they took over for the practice from my pcp who i”ve seen for more then 28years and never had a problem. Why did dr.Brandon leave the after a year. Didn’t have this problem with her.

Fantastic experience: Dr Patel is one of the most compassionate doctors ever. I felt very at ease and comfortable with him and his ability to perform my procedure. He performed a PFO closure on me in November. Anyone having to go through this know you are in good hands. The whole office staff is also wonderful and helpful.

She is quick to understand your problems and get to the solutions quickly. I loved speaking to her. I look forward to working with her in the future.

Fantastic experience: It was a good experience. Looking forward to continuing care. The Cardiac Rehab program was very well done, and, although I don't entirely agree with the Pritikin diet plant, I learned a lot from Danielle's cooking shows and lectures. Jill, Jaime and Natalie were great too. Learned a lot of cardio and strength training from them which I am continuing at home.

Fantastic experience: Not many practices out there that matches the professionalism, technically advanced systems and cleanliness of this practice. I have been to three of their locations and each one is cleaner than the next. Staff is VERY professional.

Negative experience: This is an account of my very disappointing experience with Cardio Metabolic Institute ( Cardiac Rehab Program) I was referred to this Institute for cardiac rehab after my 7th heart procedure in Nov 2021. On March 7th, 2022, during my work out on the treadmill I informed Jo, who monitors our heart condition, that I was having trouble breathing while working out with my mask on. I requested her if I could work out without the mask, she said that it was okay if I was 6 feet away from the rest of the 5 participants. I then moved to work out on the bicycle, which was six feet away. After a while Jamie (Director), who was late, entered the room and questioned why I didn’t have the mask on. I informed her that I was having difficulty breathing and she said that I have to wear the mask. I told her that I have come here to get better and to not harm myself and that I was socially distanced. I also pointed out that there were two other participants who were working out on the treadmill with their masks below their noses. I questioned her, “why are there different rules for them”. This made her angry because she had no answers. I asked her if there was a doctor on the premises to which she answered no. She then said that I had to leave the room if I didn’t have my mask on. While I removed my monitors, I again pointed out that there were two participants who were working with their masks below their noses. I asked if I could speak to an office manager or the service provider to which she replied that she was the authority. I then went to the receptionist and asked for the office manager, who was not in. The office manager, Chinal Patel, called me when I reached home and apologized, assuring me that she would work out a schedule at a different location. She never called me back. I called her in May and requested to speak with the provider Dr. Singal, she informed me that the doctor was very busy and that he would call me. Then, I received an invoice of $233/-(copay) . I called the office but no one picked up so I left a voice mail. Chinal Patel never called me back, however there were several calls form the office for payment. I then informed them that I am disputing the invoice given their unprofessionalism, unfair treatment, and the complete disregard for participant health. As a heart patient, I attended the cardiac rehab institution to get better not to harm myself and not to subject myself to a hostile environment. As I waited for a call from Dr. Singal, I paid $100/- under dispute. In June, I called Chinal Patel, I told her that I never received a call from Dr. Singal. She failed to acknowledge our previous conversations, and rudely stated that she was an office manager for 20 years and not to teach her about her job. I tried calling Dr. Singal directly, but I was kept on hold and the call never connected. Now, they have put collectors on me for the $133/- . I have informed the collection company that this amount is under dispute. I am extremely disappointed that this is how I was treated. Due to their actions, I have not attended rehab for several months. This situation has caused me severe stress and had made it harder for me to achieve the physical progress I am aiming for. This is outrageous for a cardiac rehab institution.

Fantastic experience: Staff was friendly and efficient. My Doctor (P. Patel), as usual, was caring, patient and addressed all of my concerns. I would recommend them to everyone!

Fantastic experience: I went to have a stress test and I was very nervous. The nurses and technicians took their time to explain everything and talked to me in a reassuring way and calmed my nerves. Everyone was very friendly and professional.

Fantastic experience: Went to the office for a standard stress test. The medical staff was very timely and friendly. I was in an out in about 15 minutes after the doctor completed the review of the test

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel is down to earth physicians I have met. He always speaks in language you can understand. He is always very generous with his time and puts you at ease. Very few have the qualities of Dr. Pratik Patel.

Positive experience: The exercise program was excellent, the staff was knowledgeable, very helpful. In particular Jaimie Jasco and Jim Kalacz were simply a pleasure to deal with. The taped lectures were also very good and informative. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is because of the Diet advocated is very much out of date and in my opinion misleading in some respects. e.g. It teaches that olive oil, fish, and nuts are to be limited and are not healthy.

Fantastic experience: Everyone on staff is polite and accommodating. Although there is a slight wait, I believe it's only because Dr. Maleki takes the time to answer all questions and concerns of her patients. She is so knowledgeable and genuinely cares. I recommend her implicitly.

Positive experience: Dr. Patel is a great Cardiologist but he always runs late with every appt. Even the first one of the day. I do not like waiting an hour to an hour and a half for a 15 min. appt. Also, his office, him or his nurse never call with test results. You have to follow up with him. For the price we as patients pay for Dr. Patel's services and tests, you'd think they'd hand deliver the results!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Keval Patel is fantastic! While I was in the hospital in December of 2021, he was one of the Drs that provided care for me. He took time to thoroughly answer all of my questions & outline what the next steps for my health would be going forward. He explained my condition in layman’s terms so that there would be no confusion. He explained the treatments that I was getting & what future outpatient treatments would be, along with what I would have to do to on my part to improve my condition. He was very knowledgeable, but what impressed me the most is that he knew of, or seemed to have met, all of my prior Drs, some of whom are not even local. Networking is very important in every profession, & I can appreciate & respect anyone who takes time to connect with their colleagues. He was kind enough to take me on as a new patient since his practice is closer to me than my previous cardiologist. Since being discharged I have been able to follow-up visit with Dr. Patel, which went well & I look forward to my recovery under his care.

Fantastic experience: I needed an appt ASAP with Dr. Singal, at the Cardio Metabolic Institute. Being scheduled for a kidney transplant, they made certain I had an appt within 24 hours, and Dr. Singal himself, came in on Saturday, to check me out and give me surgery clearance. Honestly, I'm unsure I would have had my transplant. Thank you, Cardio Metabolic Institute.

Fantastic experience: I am very Grateful to Dr. Patel and the team at Cardio Metabolic Institute for the time and care they have spent with me after my stroke. They always were prompt to answer my questions, and I have never felt rushed during my office visits with Dr. Patel.

Negative experience: Several of the doctors left cmi and they refuse to tell the patients where their doctors are now. They said we don’t know where they are, google it. Thats sick they won’t tell people where their cardiologist is- well I’m here to say they all. Went to Monmouth cardiologist associates on 81 Veronica ave Somerset

Positive experience: On my first visit to Dr. Patel, I found his office to be extremely professional courteous and accommodating. As far as the doctor himself he was probably one of the more personable and interactive doctors I’ve come across in recent times. Fantastic experience: Friendly and nice atmosphere, very short wait time. I have never went to a doctors's office and had a doctor spent more than 10 minutes with me and yet make me wait for more than an hour in the waiting room. Dr Branton took the time to listen to all my health issues and spent almost an hour with me, thoroughly checking all my vitals. I always research before booking an appointment with any doctor. I feel very comfortable and optimistic about my visit. I highly recommend Dr Branton. If you are looking to for a good doctor, I just found one.

Fantastic experience: Dr. P. Patel is an amazing physician! I had previously seen another cardiologist at another group who was dismissive and let the front desk handle all his communications when it came to important follow up questions that I had. Dr. Patel sat with me, talked thoroughly about my testing and a course of action and made sure I was comfortable with everything before I left. Five stars is too few for this type of quality patient care which is very hard to find.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patel is and has been an outstanding doctor ever since I was admitted to St. Peter's almost a month ago. He genuinely cares for my health and well-being and does all he can to ensure that I fully recover from my condition.

Fantastic experience: I have known Dr. Singal for 10 years - when my husband became a patient of his. My husband who is usually very skeptical about doctors because his parents were both doctors, really admired Dr Singal's knowledge and bedside manner. I became a patient of his as well. We continue to be impressed with Dr Singal's expertise and how he incorporates lifestyle advice as well to keep his patients healthy. He saved my husband's life by detecting a severe blockage in his artery and performing an immediate procedure to put in stents. I heartily recommend Dr Singal and his office.

Fantastic experience: Excellent practice from sign in, visit, testing. Everyone is professional, every step in the process is explained and I was reassured every step of the way. They were efficient but you never felt rushed and they answered any questions. Five star practice, I would recommend this practice highly.

Positive experience: Dr. Patel is awesome and he’s been my sister’s doctor for a few years. My mom sees another doctor at the practice who seems very thorough. I’m giving four stars because they’ve both said that they’ve had appointments canceled because of emergencies (totally fine with all of us). However, they received NO notification prior to arriving that the appointments had been canceled. It’s happened twice to our family. If you’re taking a day of work, be mindful of this, just in case.

Fantastic experience: Dr Patel is an awesome physician. He did tests which showed three heart arteries almost totally blocked. If not for him I probably wouldn’t be alive today.
