Fantastic experience: Last patient of the day, but still they took all the time they needed to take care of my visit

Fantastic experience: Had a couple phone visits before actual office visit managed to get the meds I needed. First office visit the ladies are very nice and Dr. Martin listened and explained everything from my meds to nutrition and alternates to medicine for pain Definitely recommend him.

Positive experience: Front desk talks too loud. That u owe money. And wants money now besides ur copay. Everyone can hear. In the waiting room. It is embarrassing.

Fantastic experience: It's absolutely the most caring understanding doctor I have ever met in my whole life. Any problem I have I know he's going to help me through it work with me on it help me understand.

Negative experience: I moved back to Abilene in January. In March, we established ourselves as patients with Lenora by tele health phone call. The very first visit with me in person was uncomfortable after she walked in & looked me up down from feet to head. Her look left me feeling judged, but hopeful that I just misunderstood the vibe. However, every visit was the same. I received less than mediocre health care. I already struggle with my quality of life daily & did not have a healthcare provider to turn to with my concerns. The focus was on my weight & it was as if I was being punished for not being fit or trying harder. There are some underlying issues as to why I’m having difficulty losing weight, why my blood sugar is so erratic, why I have low blood pressure some times, why my neck hurts, why I get terrible headaches, why I get muscle spasms everywhere & that’s from toes, my feet, ankles, legs, torso, between my shoulder blades, arms, hands, & fingers , why do I have numbness, pain, tingling, & burning sensations in legs & lower back? Well, I don’t know, even after many visits & followups. I was treated callously & with little compassion or sympathy. I couldn’t get prescriptions refilled in a timely manner. I couldn’t get referrals to other providers, except an Endocrinologist that was worse than Lenora. I know when I am not being treated with the most basic common courtesies. I had a follow up tele health visit with Dr. Martin for the first time today. I mentioned that I felt like Lenora didn’t like me, maybe because I am fat, rather light heartedly. The truth is I don’t care if she likes me, but quite taken back with his rather defensive response. He said if I felt that way it was because I feel that way about myself and not to be projecting that on them. Lenora is who she is and I agreed, but then when I tried to explain myself he never gave me a chance to. He said people didn’t make people feel any certain way telling me, essentially, it was all in my head and if I continued to talk then things would go sideways. My first thought was, was he threatening me?? Instead of going on, like I wanted to, I knew that I was dealing with someone who was extremely narcissistic. He was shutting me down every time I didn’t say anything that was in total agreement with him. I finally decided to say, yes ok, yea I understand & agreed with him before he would continue. He insulted my intelligence & treated the situation as if I were a naive, ignorant person that could easily be gaslit. My perception and feelings weren’t actual reality, playing mind games with me until he was able to finally control the narrative. He said Lenora & I just didn’t make a “connection.” If that’s what he calls it. Anyone who knows me, knows I get along well with others & in no way have any insecurities about my weight. I know when I’m not wanted as a patient. No problem. I will not be disrespected or disregarded as a human being denied quality healthcare because of personal reasons. The insurance payments may not be that great. I don’t know, but I do know there are many urgent care clinics & smaller emergency room type facilities that offer better healthcare. They care for patients with concern, compassion, & empathy. For tele-health or video chats, I can just use MD Live. There are countless doctors accepting new patients & I will try as many as I need to before I ever use this doctor or his nurse practitioner, Lenora, again. I’m sure there is no love lost. I just hope someday when they require medical care of their own, that they are shown the same courtesy I was.

Negative experience: In many of the Google reviews of Dr. Martin, they mention about how caring he is, etc. He didn't leave me with that impression. I found him to be indifferent and without empathy. It took me 5 weeks to get in to see him. Then it was going to be another 6 weeks almost before I was seen again. And even then, it was only to give me the results of my lab tests. Meanwhile, none of the issues I saw him for were being addressed. One of the main reasons I saw him was for troubles I am having breathing. He didn't even listen to my chest. He buried his head in his tablet and when he did acknowledge me, it was to contradict and admonish me for stating that I wasn't built for events 30 years ago that caused PTSD and have affected my life ever since. I am on a fixed income and he referenced me to a psychologist who is conveniently right next door to his practice. The psychologist was out of my network and wanted $65 a visit. Not happening. Then he wanted me to go to the West Texas Rehab and do a physical assessment. Which I did go to the appointment at WTR. I asked them what they were going to have me do. When they told me, I refused. I have had numerous back surgeries and have a cage in me. I'm having serious issues with it. Instead of sending me to a specialist where I would receive an MRI and EMG to determine what is wrong, he sent me to people who were going to twist and pull me. What happens if they injure me further? I have no one to care for me at home. So yeah, I refused. I have dealt with enough doctors and specialists to know that the route he was taking wasn't a route I needed to go. So I dropped him as my PCP. He is definitely not what I am looking for in a family doctor. Maybe he was just having a bad day but I was left with a lot of doubts when I left his office. And nothing afterwards changed that. It only added to it.

Fantastic experience: Lenora Taylor is the best. She is very thorough and gives you medication that you need. So glad I found her as my new NP.

Negative experience: Dr.Martin himself is great. It's the front office staff that made sure I won't be coming back.

Fantastic experience: My first visit, but he made me feel at ease. He was kind and very professional. I feel I've made a great decision to switch to Dr. Martin. My husband switched to him also. I have alot of health issues and I (we) felt Dr.Martin would be a much better option to take care of our health.

Negative experience: I don’t feel like she paid attention to my needs I told her I had a hard time sleeping and I wanted to lose wait, but she never addressed all of my issues only one where I needed a referral. Other than that the office staff was nice and inviting.

Negative experience: The N.P.R's are terrible. I been trying to see the actual Dr. But just get tossed around to different N.P.R's. Last month, the N.P.R license expired the pharmacy said when I arrived to pick up my refill. I had to wait 2 days for my refill to be called in. Medication I take 3xs a day. Was sick being off of my medication. Had miss 2 days work. Only Dr. Office I could find that doesn't require insurance. I'm up here from palm beach FL for work. Very scary not being able receive proper patient care.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Lenora Taylor has been great. She's great at her job. She listens and explains things very well. I highly recommend her.

Negative experience: This was my first appointment with Lenora. I left there completely deflated. Not only is she not a good listener, but she came across as totally unsympathetic to my concerns. All she wanted to do was throw a prescription at the problem and didn't even attempt to get to the root cause of my issue. Her demeanor was actually very cold and unfeeling. I will NOT go back to her.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Martin is exactly the kind of doctor I've been looking for. I'm a healthy 65 year old, and he didn't push a bunch of meds on me, like every other doctor. I'm an RN. I don't want to take preventative meds that I don't need. I recommend him to everyone!

Fantastic experience: When I first found Dr. Martins website, I felt excited by the content and how it seemed as though I finally found the doctor that would help me with the many issues that I have. The website makes it appear hopeful. His YouTube videos even more so. I even stressed to the office staff that I only wanted to see him. Well, sad to say I had a horrible experience. I deal with chronic pain, I have had strokes last year, I suffer from other things as well. He came into the room and I felt judged instead of being understood. I still am no closer to finding out why I feel the way I do at a younger age. I want to be able to enjoy life like anyone else would and he did not care to let me speak. He was short with me, barely asked my perspective, and pointed a list off his fingers and said let me guess you feel this that the other. It felt like I was being mocked without even saying what was wrong yet. He gave me a script at the end, ordered blood work, then I got charged $25 for a phone call that lasted a few minutes to review the results. I pay a copay just like everyone else and he seems to have great reviews from other people which does not help me to feel less judged by him. Other than that the rest of the staff is great, especially the nurses. On a positive note, the office helped me to find an amazing therapist and psychiatrist that works in the same building. 5 stars for the nurses. UPDATE!! I always give someone a second chance just in case they had an off day, and maybe that was the case with Dr. Martin. I didn't know what to expect at my second visit, but Dr. Martin came in after I visited with a very sweet nurse, he was helpful, informative, he gave me advice, and made me feel a lot more comfortable with him than the first time. I am glad that I gave him a second chance. I left with a plan, a new perspective, and the medication that I had been desperately needing. Thank you Dr. Matin for proving me wrong so other patients will not be hesitant to see you and really get the help they have been needing.

Fantastic experience: Although it is very hard to call and speak with someone, I am grateful for Tim Martins office, especially Lenora Taylor and Crystal the medical assistant. Crystal was really good with my Dad and even took the time to give me some much needed words of encouragement on her way out. Lenora Taylor as well, was very gentle with my Dad and was quick with his care. Good bedside manner is hard to come by nowadays and it really did help me during our rough journey to see my Dad be treated good. I also had an interaction with Lisa who helped with insurance issues as well as a referral and she was amazing. I told her what we needed and she called me back within an hour and had it done.

Fantastic experience: Dr Tim Martin has been my primary provider since 2016, and I’ve always been a happy patient due to his genuine care and concern for my overall health. However, recently I noticed that Dr. Martin was becoming too busy to see me anymore and instead would send me off to receive care through his nurse practitioners (which I can understand how busy his profession can be). For nearly 2 years, I haven’t had a visit with Dr. Martin but I have been in the care of a few of his nurse practitioners (which it can be difficult for me to adapt to change and I must say I became rather upset that I wasn’t under the direct care of Dr. Martin anymore). The reality is, anyone who has been under his care can vouch that he is an outstanding provider who cares for his patients needs, so you can understand why I didn’t want to see any other provider but him! Anywho, typically I don’t leave a review but recently I had an appointment with a NP I never met before at his new location and I must say that Dr. Martin made the perfect choice when hiring her! Nurse Practitioner Clarise Agbor showed a genuine care for my well-being and listened to all of my concerns. I haven’t had a connection with anyone in that office other than Dr. Martin but now I can truthfully say I’m beyond happy that she is apart of his team! She’s truly a person who is devoted to her job, as well as her patients and was extremely attentive to all of my needs! She also was incredibly thorough with her examination and provided a clear explanation of my concerns and made me feel valued as a patient! I highly recommend Dr. Tim Martin and his team and want to thank NP. Agbor for not just checking off the boxes but actually providing quality health care!

Fantastic experience: I had to put an edit here. Dr Taylor is in with Dr Martin's office.. I Saw Dr Taylor yesterday. She was very intent on what I was telling her. I went in with a jacked up spine. I have 5 disc that are shot. This pat weekend they went numb and dropped me to the ground 7 times in 4 or five days. On the ground one time for 25 minutes,before I got energy in legs just to get up. Fallen so much knees , arms and all are jacked up..It's ridiculous... She ask me about home care if I needed it..Probably do..But, I didn't want that at this time. It hurts like hell and I ask if I could try what I useally do,with my former doc whom retired,and get a referral to this neurosurgeon I heard about and go on TYL3 for a week or so.Thats all i wanted to try.Just wanted a few to see if it worked.. I need to be on Norco 10,,,3 times a day. I used to be on it 3 times day for many years. That's how jacked my spine is.But, that's what works.. But, these damn drug addicts got things all screwed up for us.SMH. I see one I might slap the #@% Sorry, got off track there. It just really ticks me off. Anyway, she looked me over and was going to get with with Dr Martin about it and about the medicine. Anyone with back problems you usually think you won't hear anything for years..lol. But, I definitely have all the proof and CT scans. Most docs tell me good lord man.. L5 is one Crammed into nerve 6mm and it goes all the way down But, I noticed she was very intent on every word I said. About 4pm I got a text. The medicine was phoned in and I'm sure she made me a referral to this neurosurgeon or at least will talk about It next week on my follow up.. Dr Taylor is great. I'm iffy on new docs anyway...But, I felt very comfortable with her and knew very well she heard every word I said and I said alot.. Very Impressed ! Chris Baker

Fantastic experience: This is the first time I have ever spent $150 for a Doctors appointment and received zero help. They did, however, tell me I had to spend another $100 in two weeks for “BP review” despite having a documented history. Update…Dr Martins office contacted me shortly after this review and asked to see me again. He took excellent care of me. He addressed my priority health concerns and gave me a reasonable future treatment plan. I was unfortunately too quick to judge this office in a negative light. Dr Martin is a very compassionate PCP. I would highly recommend this office and apologize publicly for me harsh criticism!

Fantastic experience: I have always been able to count on Dr Martin and his practice help me more than any other Doctor or the specialist of throughout most all the state of Texas and I have many rare chronic conditions and autonomic neurodegenerative disregulation on top of those at 33 and been fighting since I was 18 I remember my very first appointment with him and he said I know with everything you have been through I might not always know what is the best option right away but I promise you I will always be straight forward honest with you and I will research what I can and if I can't do the treatment for you I will get you to the right person to help you and that was in 2017 and him being able to do that for me personallmy was the 1st time I felt like i could keep on fighting my health issues while also allowing a chance for a future I never imagined possible for myself

Fantastic experience: Basically whole family went in to switch doctors, and even my kids enjoyed them more than their pediatricians! My 12 year old said they were so nice and he said they seemed like they cared way more than his last doctor who pushed concerns away. So glad I did my research and found them!

Positive experience: I absolutely love Dr. Timothy Martin as my doctor! I have been seeing him for 3 years now. He listens to me, takes time to help me figure out what's going on, and works with me to come up with a plan for treatment!! He is very knowledgeable about all kinds of medications and treatments that are out there. He is just awesome!! The only reason I gave him a 4 ⭐️ is because he has a few rude office employees.They have bad attitudes every time I am there for an appointment. They just act like they don't like or enjoy their job, and that attitude effects the patients, or at least it does me. Maybe it's just me they have a problem with.... I have no idea. But most of the employees are super nice, super caring, and make you feel like they are happy to be there and happy to see you!!

She even gave me some samples of a medication that I am waiting on to get from a pharmacy! She ordered my blood bloodwork and told me to come back in three months! Fantastic experience: I really like Dr. Martin, he really shows he cares. I am going to give the new medicine (Donepezil) a chance. Sure hope it works. I am also taking Lexapro in P.M. and also Lipitor in A.M. So now I will be taken 3 meds?? I have not started Donepezil as of yet. Please advise time on taking the 3 pills.

Fantastic experience: Dr Martin and the office Manager Melanie are the best. I've been with him for years. But the lady at the front desk is a problem. I called after having an issue at the pharmacy about my prescription. She forgot to hang the phone up and I heard her tell other office staff that I was upset and coming in the office and SHE HOPE THAT WHEN I COME IN THAT SHE DIDNT LAUGH IN MY FACE. I told her well you forgot hang the phone up and I heard EVERY WORD YOU SAID. Of course this is the 2nd run in I've had with her. I never spoke a word of this before. Now, I entered the office and told her she was very unprofessional and should never be working at the front desk for anyone. Dr Martin, this is the first face we see upon entering your establishment. We should be met with a person who is kind and professional. Not ready to laugh in YOUR PATIENTS FACES.. SHE WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I DID REPORT THIS TO Melanie. I pray she learns some humility working in a BACK OFFICE for someone else. But Never with YOUR PATIENTS

Negative experience: Dr cannot keep timely appointments. Office staff rude. Cannot get billing to contact you. Dr cares more about other ventures he’s involved with. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. Ive dealt with it for years and will not continue.

Fantastic experience: I do NOT LIKE THE FRONT DESK STAFF. They rarely answer the phone. I called Wednesday and asked to speak to the nurse and when she asked can I say who us calling I said no, rosa then proceeded to hang up. The only staff with keeping are Lara in the lab and Isabelle. I think he needs to get rid of alot of the staff as they seem unprofessional. But lara, Isabelle, and Serena are great my favorite is lara hands down. Dr Martin is a great physician when he is actually given his messages I have been waiting on my meds for 5 days now so hopefully they will be filled today

Fantastic experience: Out of all my years of going to Doctors never have I been to such a compassionate Doctor. Dr Martin listens and takes the time to discuss options that are best. Honestly he saved my life from addiction. Not one time did I ever feel judged and knew I could be open and honest with him. If your looking for a caring and compassionate Dr he's the one for you and your family. He has also helped my brother change his life. Every time I've had an issue and messaged the nurse she is extremely responsive and makes sure we are taken care of. Fantastic experience: Dr. Martin is a great person. You can tell he really does care about his patients. Not at all like one of those, better than you, stuffed shirts who talks down to you and only wants your money. His office staff are so nice and respectful. Negative experience: I will be finding another doctor. I have been calling for a week to refill a medication I am now out of, with no response from the staff. This is not the first time I have had an issue with receiving a call back from this office. NP Lenora Taylor is amazing but the level of communication from the staff is unacceptable.

Negative experience: STAY AWAY!!!! Super disappointed with my visits. Scheduled a physical for my husband and when we came in we were told we were having a consultation and had to pay $25 co pay and would have to come back in 30 days for the physical. Then waited for an hour to be seen. Saw the doctor for two minutes who sent my husband for lab work. Came back in 30 days and the doctor lied about the lab work, stating my husband had an iron deficiency and was pre diabetic. When asked about numbers, he wouldn't say what they were. Then said it was a fasting blood draw, which it was NOT. I picked up a copy of the labwork on the way out the door and confirmed my husband is not iron deficient nor prediabetic. The doctor never asked questions about my husband's diet or exercise routine, but he lectured about not eating sugar or processed foods. My husband doesn't eat hardly any sugar and we don't eat processed foods. Very frustrating, absolute waste of time.

Negative experience: My experience with this approach was fine except for one thing that has still yet to be sorted out one of my prescriptions. One of my addictive prescriptions was under prescribed after this phone call and I only got 1/3 of the medication I’m supposed to get I’ve been texting and calling and I haven’t even gotten a response back. Normally they’re very great about this. I don’t wanna sound like I’m complaining, but I believe that that’s what the sides are for is to make peoples companies better so there is

Fantastic experience: Dr.Martin is a very good Dr. He listens to any and everything you tell him , then gives you an immediate diagnosis . Very intelligent and soft hearted dr. He does everything he can to help his patience in every way he can . I highly recommend Dr Tim Martin for all of your health needs !

Negative experience: I felt very rushed. For a wellness check. I was asked if I needed refillls and then taken for bloodwork! End of appointment.This is not the normal visit I have had. Lenora is usually very attentive to my care. Maybe a busy day.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank Dr. Tim Martin for scheduling me in to personally see me right before the Thanksgiving holiday after a series of very troubling symptoms. He responded immediately to my communication, took the time and attention to listen to me, explain his thought process and what our next steps would be to address my concerns. After test results came in, Dr. Martin contacted me on his cell phone to relieve my anxieties and to let me know he would be available in case of any further emergencies.
