Fantastic experience: Powerhouse Gym is hands-down my favorite gym! It has everything I could ever ask for in a fitness facility, and it stands out from all the others I've been to. The women-only area is a game-changer—it's spacious, well-equipped, and provides a comfortable environment to work out without distractions. Whether you're lifting weights, doing cardio, or stretching, there’s more than enough room and equipment for everyone. The gym also offers incredible amenities, including a pool and jacuzzi, which are perfect for relaxing after an intense workout. The sauna, though, deserves a special shoutout. It’s by far the best sauna I’ve ever experienced—clean, comfortable, and incredibly effective for winding down or detoxing. Powerhouse Gym combines a welcoming atmosphere with top-notch facilities. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a gym that caters to all your fitness and wellness needs.

Fantastic experience: Sunday was my first time visiting the Novi location as I usually workout at the West Bloomfield location. Both locations are great, however, the Novi location is bigger and has a few more specific muscle group machines to choose from. It's good to have two great locations to choose from. I shall return!

Fantastic experience: Nick Poulos is absolutely AWESOME! My son and I joined Powerhouse Novi 2 weeks ago and have been enjoying the gym thoroughly. I wanted to get a personal trainer for my son and I but unfortunately my single mom budget doesn’t allow. Nick Poulos has been so helpful and accommodating in every way. He took the time to talk in depth with my son and I about our fitness goals. I was so impressed by his kindness and patience with my son. When I can afford a trainer I will 100% be hiring Nick Poulos! Hallelujah

Negative experience: Didn't love this gym. Also it was too long of a drive and not worth the time once there. So the drive isn't their issue. But it was mine/ ours. Getting my membership canceled was nearly impossible it took months. My spouce has been trying as well and isn't getting a call back. It should not be this hard. It's insane. Once you get ahold of the billing lady she acts like the nicest person. Was told I'd be getting some money back. Can't find where that happened. So I won't be renewing and spouse is still trying to cancle his and once it's canceled...he won't be signing back up! This place is ridiculous.

Negative experience: Want to share my recent experience with powerhouse gym so people can avoid some mistakes I made. 1. The sign up process is with lots of hidden fees (installation, process fee, one time registration fee adds up to about $250) which they mention at the end. The sale lady was not telling any consequences of cancellation. 2. Trying to bring a guest to show friend around but front desk let us waited over 20 mins and tell us later it's passed visiting time. Went through this twice with different excuses and didn't feel respected and none apology was made. 3. Cancellation. I didn't know I signed up for 1 year contract. In the agreement I read later, only death and injury can cancel the contract which is ridiculous because people may move or get laid off. They did provide me a buy out fee for $179l. I accepted it because there are other traps in the contract, and it's not worth to go for another year. Hope this info helps you make decisions

Negative experience: The sales people at this gym are very predatory I’ve been touring gyms crunch,planet fitness,la fitness etc none of them have treated me nearly as poorly as this gym their website clearly states they offer a guest pass to try out their gym before signing up I get there to inquire about getting one for a couple hours to see if I like the gym compared to the others I’ve tried out the salesman states that they can sell me a day pass for 30$ or he can sign me up for a membership to which I said at this point I am interested in trying it out with the guest pass but i will not commit on the spot without trying out the amenities he never even offered a tour just wanted me to sign up on the spot the unprofessional predatory sales people you will endure at this gym is just unacceptable bad look for this company/franchise

Negative experience: I am still in awe, being Jamaican, I had never experienced racism until today at powerhouse gym Novi. Lori the Manager and her staff were basically racist to children and when I point it out to them Lori canceled our membership. My children were left with the notion that wherever they go they will be judged by the color of their their skin. I would advise you all to run if you are black. Go to a different powerhouse. Lori is heartless, wonder who made her manager.

Fantastic experience: If you look for decent workout environment and equipment in between budget and luxury then Powerhouse is the right place. The cost in between planet and Lifetime. However hygiene, Cleanliness, perks, customer service are top notch. Swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, spa, towel service, child care, healthy snacks and cafeteria are some of them. Plenty of parking and great location.

I love that they offer free classes and if you use the app you can sign up the night of or morning if they still have room! Negative experience: Clean, well kept facility. Very kind gym personnel. Unfortunately I decided it was time to part ways with this gym due to the lack of respect I received today. A guest and I had a disagreement in the Sauna that led to the other guest putting her hands on me and the - facility Manager did absolutely nothing about it, besides asking both of us to apologize to the other women in the locker room.I am a 30 year old woman, the other guest was much older than me - had I been the one who put my hands on an older woman, I believe the outcome would have been different. Also, not really sure with the company / franchise - allows Sauna lights to be off, as it’s a hazard to sit in the dark next to the hot machine. Not only that but guest walk in and out with their headphones unable to hear / communicate effectively. Lastly, someone can get seriously hurt if they fall asleep in the Sauna due the light being off. Just extremely disappointed. I decided to leave the gym and cancel my membership.

Negative experience: Power house gym is one of the worse place ever, first it is over capacity of people more than the gym can take.Weight always misplaced and old. Unhealthy,because it is over crowded breathing is zero.Bathrooms are filthy swimming pool jacuzzi are filthy. Most machines are old. I had cable cut of on me I totally do not advise and recommend any one to sign in

Positive experience: I do love this gym and have been a member since 2017, but been thinking of leaving due to it being so hot in there all the time during warmer weather. I actually almost passed out the other day during my HIIT/Cardio workout day. It was very hot and humid outside so it makes it hotter in the gym. They could at least turn down the air conditioning and set it to a temp that is desirable for a gym or even invest in big ceiling fans like I've seen in most other gyms such as Edge or Planet. PLEASE TURN THE AIR CONDITIONING TO A LOWER TEMPERATURE! IT'S SO HOT!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at powerhouse for the past couple of years and this gym is hands down the best I’ve been to. This location is large, you have access to the best equipment and they offer great classes that are included with the membership. I also love how clean the gym is and the friendly staff who are always willing to help with whatever you need!

Negative experience: I was going to enroll at this gym but I was met with a rude receptionist at around 12:30 AM. He wouldn’t let me in for a tour or to sign up because he was too busy on his phone and is the “only” worker there.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience! Employees are so helpful and the atmosphere is very friendly. One of the fitness consultants, Noor Qitta was very kind and answered all of my questions regarding memberships and promotions. The sauna and hot tub are great after a lift and using the basketball court is a great bonus.

Negative experience: This gym is terrible for the price. They market the gym as if it's a body building gym yet they can't properly maintain their equipment. Their workout machines have constant issues. Either the machine you want to use is out of order and it'll take them a week or longer to fix, or the weight plates aren't properly lubricated. So you'll have completely different resistances from 2 of the exact same machines, one with weights that properly move up and down as you use the machine and the other that is fighting friction. The cardio machines are also a joke. Most of them either shake, don't turn on, or are so outdated I see people get frustrated by them and walk out. This is not as big of a problem at their newer locations as they actually care about getting more business for those locations. The cherry on top is when I see employees of this location drive up in brand new BMW Ms, Ferraris, and G Wagons. They're making so much money, hand over fist, but don't care about upgrading or maintaining their equipment properly. It's so clear they don't care about anything but the money. I'd recommend if you want a Powerhouse membership to go to either Northville or West Bloomfield as their equipment is updated, works, and won't frustrate the hell out of you. Or better yet, don't give these people any more of your money since they just blow it on themselves instead of making the business better.

Positive experience: Joined Powerhouse gym in Novi just 2 weeks ago. Joined for the pool and the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is not working very cold. That makes the pool area cold. Have complained for more than a week about this. Stil not fixed.

Fantastic experience: I just want to start off by saying my experience at the gym is always positive. Lori the Manager is delight, She goes above and beyond for the people at the gym A lot of different equipment, positive atmosphere and just great vibes.

Positive experience: love this gym, one of the biggest and best powerhouse in the area; however wish it was open 24/7 on the weekend. Weekends are when people who are working can stay up late and would love to go to the gym but cannot due to timings. gym used to be 24/7 even on weekend before covid, but the pandemic is long gone.
