Fantastic experience: My local gym had a selection of Spartan Meals that I would try out occasionally. Recently, I decided to invest and purchase their 18 create your own meal plan and I am extremely impressed by the following: 1. I placed my order on Friday and received delivery the next night. 2. Every meal has tasted fresh & delicious! 3. The quality of the service is absolutely worth the price. My one recommendation would be to make delivery turnaround times clearer on the website and to give a bigger window of notice before the actual delivery. We happened to be home the night of delivery but weren’t expecting the meals so soon!

Fantastic experience: These guys are the real deal. I have tried every meal plan you can think of, but this one stands head and toe above the rest. I order the halal meals and they’re so tasty and full of incredible micronutrients. Such an easy way to track calories, get your protein in and not worrying about anything. From customer service to the actual meals, my experience has been absolutely perfect.

Negative experience: If I could have given no stars I would have. This is a long story but I will try to be brief. My son ordered $180 worth of meals. He received an email saying they would be delivered 12/24/23. He lives in a large condominium building and all packages go to a package room. He went to the room on 12/24/23 and discovered that the ice was melted and the meals were warm. The front desk attendant told him they had been delivered a couple of days ago (another example of poor customer service!). I contacted the customer service number and was told it would be taken care of right away. I waited for two weeks and heard nothing. I then sent an email and was told they would replace the meals but he would have to send another $180 which would eventually be refunded. Something about a shipping label issue. This still has not been resolved. The owner first offered a 15% refund and later 50%. Why would my son give this man $90? I contacted the New Jersey Better Business Bureau but they could not help because they said the business didn't exist! It seems the only way to have a satisfactory experience with this company is to be able to pick up the meals yourself. We live in Minnesota so that was not going to happen.
Fantastic experience: I love it. Different options which is great. I def like the taste and menu and I’ve ordered from other meal preps in NJ.( Eat clean bro their chicken tastes like rubber, I tried another one up north and it was eh ok) I usually freeze my meals until the night before and it still tastes fine afterwards… I would order more often but the 10 meal min is why I do here and there only because I don’t need ten meals so often , sometimes maybe like 5/6 for the week that’s when I usually order from one closer otherwise I’d order them weekly and the prices are very reasonable for the amount you get.
Negative experience: They will not take you off their email list no matter what. Unsubscribed to their email MULTIPLE times over the course of a year now, and they are still spamming me.

Fantastic experience: I had ordered meals from a couple of different websites. I also went into 2 different grab and go meal locations that are similar to Spartan. Today my daughter and I decided to take a ride into Lodi to give Spartan meals a try. The young men that were working there were very courteous and helpful. So that is 5 ⭐️’s right off the bat. Was hoping that Spartan has some type of opening multi-meal deal so that we may try as many selections as possible. BTW we purchased 9 meals today and just tried the shredded flank steak. It was delicious. My daughter works for NYC courts and will be taking Spartan meals to work this week. I hope they will all be as good as the shredded flank steak!!!!! Thank you. Please let us know if you offer any opening deals!
Negative experience: Bought 10 meals, a week later, they told me that they only had 3 meals ready and for me to pick whatever options they had in the fridge. I wanted the meals I paid for, I call them to check on the order and no one ever answers. I ordered these Jan 3rd, nothing has been resolved and I'm out $100+ dollars. Horrible experience, I would not trust this company with anything
Hello angel we’ve been trying to contact you, when you placed your order you did not include a phone number only an email. We sent a pick up confirmation that your order was ready but no one ever came. You showed up a week later after we had already had your order prepared. Can you please email us [email protected] so that we can take care of this. I’ve been emailing the email you listed when you placed your order [email protected]. No one has answered , we are not trying to hide away from $100, weve done this long enough to know the customer always comes first. So hopefully you see this and allows us to help you.
Negative experience: Ordered food this past week for the first time in years, as I remembered they were pretty good. I purchased 10 meals since my boyfriend and I are trying to introduce meal prepping back in to our routine. The day of purchasing I had eaten one of the meals and noticed the rice was extremely hard and inedible. I disposed of that meal and went to the next, and unfortunately it was the same situation. A majority of the meals that I purchased had a side of rice, so I contacted them to see if I could bring back the remaining meals and get refunded since it couldn’t be eaten. They weren’t willing to accomodate which is unfortunate. I won’t be ordering here again
Negative experience: Food arrived late, melted, and rotten. Phone calls, emails, FB, and even Instagram messages flat out ignored on 300 dollar order. This company is unprofessional and didn't even have the decency to reply. Cowardly.

Fantastic experience: I have been using spartan meal prep service for serveral months for myself ans my personal training clients. Those that know that out training a bad diet is impossible so focusing on healthy food options is staple to having a healthy body to enjoy life with. Spartan meal preps excecutes their role perfectly. Their facility in Lodi is beautiful and inside youll find a group of people that are always happy to help, the food is honestly delicious and they have so many options to choose from so you never get tired. I know i speak for many when i say spartan is a great company that goes and above to make sure you get a good experience.

Fantastic experience: Spartan has been a a major major reason for why I’ve lost 20lbs in 23. They honestly make some delicious food and when I go pick up my order they are always happy to help, answer any questions. Fantastic experience: I’ve been ordering from Spartan Meal Prep since about March this past year. I couldn’t say enough amazing things about the service, food, quality, and overall experience. 1. Food is great, macro friendly, has helped me in fitness endeavors, and fills me up. 2. It’s fairly priced and I always get what I pay for. I get 20 meals, 4 cookies, and protein balls and I definitely am happy with what I get for how much I pay. 3. One time I needed to change my order and I was in chat. Carlos called me (which I appreciated) and personally changed my order for delivery from pick up, so it came faster and I saw how much he cared about helping me, the customer. 4. Delivery drivers are always communicative and nice people who handle the packages with care. Overall, if you’re someone who wants to order meal prep, spartan is absolutely the way to go. I love supporting their business and plan to keep doing so for years to come. Thank you guys for being great and treating your customers greater.

Fantastic experience: I have been ordering for spartan meal prep for a year now and here is my honest review. Food is delicious, fair pricing, and customer service has always been on point if they are missing a meal or two they call and ask what to replace it with. I recently left Jersey for a couple months and now using their delivery service 13 hours away. Food still is in excellent condition when it arrives and the process is easy. For the year, I’ve only had one mixed up order and that was recently. Chris personally contacted me and explained it was an error and they quickly resolved by sending me my order right away. It’s clear they care about their customers and that’s why I’ll keep ordering. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I have been ordering for a few weeks now. The food is good, some things I’m not a fan of, but I think it’s personal taste. Lots of options that fit into both of our diets, and lots of options for me even though I have some food sensitivities. Had an issue with my order this week, Chris helped me out and made sure I was taken care of. Can’t wait to get my next box, because that coconut fish slaps.

They had my meals bagged and ready to go an hour after the phone call and the food is amazing for building muscle. Definitely would recommend to anyone trying to eat clean and make amazing gains
Negative experience: Horrible customer service and doesn't return emails or phone calls. I made an order two months ago and I never received my order. Within one month of emailing and texting and not getting a response back the owner finally called me a month later saying he going to make it right and send only half of the meal because I live in Florida and shipping the meals to me would be hot because of the summer heat. Which I was fine with. Till this, I haven't received it. I reach out to them yesterday morning around 6 am because I work night one of the employees claim that it was too early and basically im bothering her/him and didn't care about my concern. I will not be buying anything from them ever again. They literally took my money and refuse to refund and never sent me my meals.
Negative experience: It took three weeks to receive 16 meals when I ordered 21 and snacks. 0 meals were cold or ever cool. 4 containers cracked. One container was already spoiled. I what meals I could save in the fridge for two days before throwing everything away due to the spoiled smell when opening the refrigerator—no customer service department. So now I am out over $300. I will be escalating this experience to the BBB.
Hello Behr Xans I tried to look up your order to get your contact info but can’t find any order with that name, I noticed you had an issue with your out of state delivery. We learned that orders that west coast orders that are over 15 meals Can run into small problems because the boxes get to heavy and UPS starts tossing and throwing them around, we no longer send boxes with more than 15 meals and haven’t had any issues with cracked containers , as for the temperature during the summer months when we ship meals there are delays that happen and because of the weather that can cause the meals to spoil, however if that happens we always send the customer another box , I don’t see any emails or anything with your name so please reach out to us so we can ship a other box to you Please feel free to reach out anytime [email protected]

Negative experience: I had the pleasure of trying these meals when I was at my son's home. Unfortunately, He had passed away and I was at his home cleaning and tried the food. I really enjoyed it and I was so happy to know he was eating healthy, so I ordered the food for myself to deliver to my home on May 31. A couple of days later I received a text that my food would be delivered on a Saturday but it never arrived. I tried sending a chat message and an email, but I didn't receive a response. I once again tried a few days later via email and chat and called both their phone numbers and left messages. Finally someone emailed me back on June 9th and apologized and promised to send out the order because they were having an issue with UPS. I was happy to get a response and thought everything would work out. But that was a week ago and the order was supposed to go out this past Monday June 12. I didn't receive a tracking number so I emailed, texted, sent messages and called. My initial order was placed May 31 and today is June 15 and I have no food and no tracking number and I give up. I even tried sending a Facebook message and they said to use the webchat that doesn't work. I don't know what else a customer can do to get a response.

Negative experience: Ordered on a Saturday, went on Tuesday and was told it was not ready. Went again on the weekend and was told it was too late. $86 worth of food, definitely won't be coming back.
Hello Noelia you place the order on the 20th, the order was ready to be picked up Sunday no one came till a week later so the meals had to be tossed, we tried contacting you via email and no one answered, unfortunately you didnt include a contact number in your order so we had no way reaching you. As mentioned in the email we will make a one time exception and re do the order but we need to confirm that you will pick it up.
Negative experience: I am only giving one star because I have to to leave the review. Personally I wish I could leave negative stars. I ordered 30 meals which cost over $350.00. They arrived all hot - the cold packs were all warm as well and the entire box was spoiled and smelled. I called many times and left messages, tried to use the chat feature which no one answered, emailed the company using the email address that I could only find from other negative reviews as it seems that was the only way people could get in touch with anyone and I have yet to receive a response to anything. They even texted me when I left a voice message one day asking the reason for the call and when I replied with the above I never heard from them again. The customer service is the worst I have ever seen in my life. I have never felt the need to go online and leave a review positive or negative in my entire life. But I will not allow other people to be taken advantage of. $350.00 is alot of money to take from someone and they are expecting to be able to eat and now all the grocery money is gone and their food is spoiled and they dont respond??? Sad fact is they would have had a customer for life because the food is actually good as I had ordered the prior week as well and enjoyed my food.
Negative experience: Absolutely horrible. First of all, they have their workers working with COVID-19. Which is ridiculous and probably illegal. Secondly, I placed an order for meals and went to pickup on Sunday and they had NONE of my meals available. Refunded me except they forgot the tax and didn't refund me for that and I called and left voicemails and nobody calls back. I was a good customer until this.
Hello Alyssa you can rest assured that we wouldn’t let any employees with any sickness come and work, we don’t take any risk as we have a great company that we built from the ground up and would never risk someone coming to work and getting others sick. We pay our employees for sick leave when they aren’t feeling good, i tried to see find your orders but I don’t see any orders under the name Alyssa lago or anything with that last name, if you can email me [email protected] I’d love the opportunity to offer a free week on the house to make up for any inconvenience that might have been caused .
Negative experience: Food is decent but their delivery drivers will call your phone and ring your bell constantly looking for a tip even after you make one with your payment online and ask for the food to be left. Very aggressive on every delivery. It's also impossible to get off of their email list. There are a lot of companies that are easier to deal with and you won't have to deal with the drivers.

Times were very hard during covid when no one wanted to work and our buisness was growing but for the last 5 months we’ve really had no complaints and our team & company has been doing amazing things. Negative experience: Horrible customer service, if there is any customer service. Placed my order 10 days ago and have not heard a peep my family is leaving for thanksgiving so that was money wasted because when the food comes (if it does) we won’t be here. We had a lot to this week in preparation for a trip and that was the point of us having these meals. 1 star because some of the food when it has come before is pretty good but not worth the hassle trying to contact someone at spartan meals. I have never had such dissatisfaction with a purchase such as this.
Hello Kiara thank you for the good feedback on our food quality, Orders that are in the state of NJ, NY, PA and CT are delivered with our drivers , all other states we use UPS carrier to fulfill these orders. Unfortunately we have a strict min to delivery policy as we use a special 1 piece insulated liner, special made gel packs to keep the meals cold as well as stronger tray thats designed for long range transport. We reached out via Email and tried calling on Monday to see if you can add more meals to meat the 12 meal min or if you'd like a refund in full. I also send 2 emails prior to replying to your review, i hope to hear back and close this manner.
Negative experience: Ordered and paid in July. It's November now. Have called and emailed dozens of times, no replies. Still haven't been able to pick up my meals.
Gabriel the order you placed on July 4th was marked ready for pick up on the 9th, we sent a email and text as we do every week to all customers that ordered. You never came in and we had to donate the meals. You reached out to me last week and asked if we can make your order again and i told you we would make a one time exception, you came and picked up the order. Now i don't know if you left this review before you spoke to me or after, but i would like to know why you would even leave this after we were more than fair in doing the order again. Negative experience: Food was good the first time I ordered, second delivery half the food was already bad or soured prior to it being delivered to me. The plastic containers broke and had plastic pieces in at least 5 of the meals I ordered. I emailed them several times and never heard anything back from them.
Hello Chris orders that are made in the state of NJ, NY, CT and PA are all covered with our drivers and all orders outside these states are fulfilled with UPS. Sometimes when they delay the delivery we have to put a claim and always do right by the customer and issue a refund and put a claim directly with the carrier as this was a delay on their end. My food arrived late, warm and smelled terrible from being in a box for 4 days. I even contacted them on Instagram. All I wanted was a refund and cannot reach anyone at all. Negative experience: Absolutely the worst customer service ever! Pretty much non existent. I ordered 15 meals and put in the notes(it even indicates to let them know) about my allergy. I received my meals and they did not even bother with listening to my allergy. Even though their were ones they didn’t list wheat, I got extremely sick and still sick. I reached out to them right away when I received it. They told me they don’t do those types of meals which was so confusing. Even if they don’t do meals without an allergy why wouldn’t they contact me. But they stopped answering me, didn’t refund anything and I had all this food I couldn’t eat Horrible. Hello Jessica i just now saw this review, I pulled up your order and it shows that you choose the meals yourself, our team bagged whatever you chose , we purposely put all the ingredients in our website that way customers can see what’s in the meals and also have a gluten free section. It shows that someone reached out but there is no summary of how this was handled so please email me [email protected] so that we can set you up with another delivery using the correct menu that way you don’t need to worry about selecting meals you can’t consume.
Negative experience: Love the food, hate their customer service. It’s 730 on a Sunday and my delivery still hasn’t arrived. Ever since I moved from NJ, getting my food delivered is such pain. Since I’m “local” (Long Island) they will deliver it to (not ship it) and you never know when they will show up. At best you get a txt when they are 5 minutes away, usually dude just shows up with your food so don’t plan on going anywhere! This time, just nothing from them. Called to ask where my food is and the guy will “try to figure it out” which is not reassuring. I love the convenience of their food but I’m tired of the hassle.
Hello Katie sorry for any frustration that was caused. A year ago we were going through some growing pains but since than have added more delivery days and drivers, our team has had the blessing of recruiting some great new team members that has allowed us to operate in a much more quality controlled manner. Negative experience: Absolute WORST customer service I have ever seen, I have attempted to contact them 6 times, email, phone, everything. Not one person has attempted to contact me. I wish I could give them 0 stars. With the money I paid for my meals I would expect that they would be eager to try and fix my situation but clearly they just want to take your money and not get back to you, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Negative experience: Non existent customer service. I had an issue with my order. I emailed Spartan meals numerous times and tried to reach out on the website chat and on Facebook and Instagram. No follow up response at all. The website claims 24/7 customer service but there’s none. Not to mention the meals weren’t great, one of my breakfast meals tasted like dish soap. It was not edible. I guess the only good thing I can say about this company is the delivery guy was nice. I am very disappointed and do not recommend.
Negative experience: If I could leave a zero I would. The lack of customer service in this company is quite disgusting. I found the number where it’s 24/7 support and have yet to have to someone answer let alone return my call after leaving several messages. The chat option should not even be an option if no one is going to login. When going to pick up my meals on Sunday I was told we ran out you should of come Saturday when the sign on your door Sundays. When I pointed it out I was told oh well sorry first come first serve. How is this a way to treat your customers. If the meals where not available why not reach out and let your customers know. Why make me chose my meals if you are not going to make enough to accommodate the customers who are purchasing them. Then you continue to send emails Sunday for last minute order for food that you don’t have. I sent message on Instagram which was read and not responded to. I can’t even ask for my money back cause there is no one to speak with. They basically took my money please do not order from here.
Negative experience: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. At first we were pleased with the meals and ordered every month. However, this last time we noticed one spoiled meal after another. I reached out via email and they only offered to replace 1 meal. I emailed again and stated that several meals were spoiled not just one meal. I even waited for an answer for 2 weeks and still no response. Very unprofessional. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
Negative experience: I ordered from Spartan for the first time this week. While the food is delicious their customer service is horrendous. I have reached out via email, phone, chat multiple times and I have not received not one response, not even in the chat. I ordered 21 meals and every single meal had at least 1 side missing. I reached out initially because I wanted to know the macros with the missing sides and then realized after checking each meal that some had multiple sides missing. For the money I paid I was hoping for more attention to detail when packaging the meals. Multiple meals had the Plastic film missing which was disappointing but the missing food was the most annoying. A company that has all over their website that they have excellent customer service and satisfaction guaranteed in fact has the worst customer service I have ever experienced since there literally is none. It’s upsetting because the food is very good, but for what I paid, I truly expected a much better experience. I unfortunately have another week of meals that I will be picking up and that will be my last. I hope to be able to speak to someone in person, but based on the company completely ignoring me for the last week, I am not hopeful that any of my issues with my order will be dealt with.

Fantastic experience: Spartan has been a life saver for me. I started about 8 weeks ago and I already hit my goal weight and feel healthier than ever. I’ve always been active in the gym but my nutrition has always been wishy washy as I am very busy and always running around. Having my meals from spartan has kept things tasty and easy! Negative experience: 0 stars. Food never arrived. Scammed 200 dollars. Have sent multiple emails with no responses. I finally did get ahold of someone through facebook messenger and they said to resend an email. Of course that didnt work. Cant get ahold of anyone anymore on facebook. Negative experience: Never received order and didn't get a refund. They stopped answering my phone calls once they got my money. This is nothing short of a scam. Do not order in case you like to be stolen from. Complaint submitted to the better business bureau, hopefully I can get a resolution this way

We noticed your in Miami , we have a kitchen there that fulfills order in 3 days but since you ordered from our nj location we had to ship the meals and what’s why it took a week to get to you. Fantastic experience: spartan has blown my expectations time and time again. i know i can speak for everyone that has met their staff when they go pick up their orders when i say that this is a genuine hard working team. their meals are delicious, they are always willing to help and this is just a small part of the great things within the spartan brand
Negative experience: The food isn’t bad but the customer service is horrible. I ordered 15 meals for Sunday afternoon delivery and I had to reach out to them at 7pm just for them to tell me they’ll get delivered Monday instead. Ok no problem. Then after talking to 3 separate people Monday morning the meals never ended up showing up and now no one will answer my calls or texts.

Negative experience: Shady business received moldy food on my first delivery with busted containers and half of it arrived 2 days late and completely spoiled, and they are not responding or refunding has been stringing me along for 2 weeks now! This is your responsibility! Poorly packed clearly doesn’t ship well to warm places and THEY NEVER RESPOND! if you want food poisoning this is the company for you! Edit: they replied here to contact them just to save face, they’ve had multiple chances to respond to my emails where you can see the order number in the screenshots and I was ignored repeatedly, the reply to this review was the fastest response I ever got from you!

Negative experience: NO STARS!!! BEWARE BEFORE SPENDING MONEY HERE!!! I placed a few orders and while their food was good, their customer service (or lack of) SUCKS. I had received an order with five of the 21 meals with broken plastic. While I was able to remove the plastic pieces out of two of them, all three of the bruschetta chicken meals I had ordered had tiny pieces in them, obviously not salvageable or edible. I reached out through phone and left a voicemail and no one called back. I emailed and got a response . I provided pictures. YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES THERE IS NO PLASTIC FILM COVERING THE FOOD. They told me I was getting a refund for the three meals and NEVER heard back from them. This was in the beginning of March. TERRIBLE customer service. They swap meals out without notifying you, which is also not okay service wise. Just TERRIBLE experience overall. I even said I would still order their meals but because of this terrible service I will gladly spend my money elsewhere. Beware buyers!
Hello Liz it shows that you were refunded for the meals that were damaged during transport. Unfortunately All orders that are outside of New Jersey , New York, Connecticut and Philadelphia have to be shipped via UPS. We are happy to Inform you that we have upgraded our UPS trays that allow us to ship the meals with just the try and film this allows us to not need a lid as that’s what was really cracking. Negative experience: The food is good but unfortunately the service has completely pushed us away. My husband and I were ordering consistently for over a month. One of our orders of 36 meals arrived with 9 of our meals missing and replaced with “chicken and fries” - basically grilled chicken and potatoes, not a meal we’ve ever ordered. If they had let us know substitutions were needed it wouldn’t have been a big deal, or maybe we could have chosen something we would want instead. We asked to have our correct meals delivered, which they said they would do but never did. I asked repeatedly for a refund on the 9 meals, and they’ve just completely ghosted me at this point. This wasn’t our first time having an issue, but we won’t be ordering again because we just can’t trust that we’re getting what we pay for.

I looked at that week's delivery log and see that the second delivery was scheduled for Monday and was marked complete. I'm assuming you did not receive the meals? If that's the case I have calculated the refund to be $63.37 please confirm if you received the second delivery so I can process the refund.

Negative experience: So this 2 guyz are at LA Fitness in North Brunswick today 1/11/22 giving out “ FREE” Frozen food in Exchange for Positive Google Review. The guy actually tells you what to write. Most of the reviews that will post mark with this date is manufactured and not authentic. I have videos and pictures. Am not saying whatever they are selling is bad or good but this is consumer manipulation and deception. They will know exactly who i am coz i told them this was insincere.

Hello Joshua i am sorry for the shortage we had last week, Unfortunately on new years week we had limited staff due to holiday leave and a shorter work week due to holidays so we fulfilled as many orders as we could, those that couldn't get fulfilled were offered a refund or a delivery the following week. I made a bad call and thought i had increased the volume plenty to cover both weeks orders but the new years wave came unexceptionally higher than i projected. Rest assure that this week we have our entire team back, as well as regular schedules and will be guaranteed to cook enough food to satisfy all orders. I will email you to set you up with a package on the house in hopes to give you a true experience now that the holidays are behind us.
Negative experience: Don't order from Spartan meals they go back on their word and don't deliver your meals. I tried to order for my elderly disabled mom since I'm not there since I have Covid. And they told me a few months back I didn't have to order 10 meals in order to get it delivered well tonight they went back on their word and would not deliver my meals I ordered. And decided 9pm at night should be the perfect time to tell me. This is not a family centered business as they don't care about their customers. Maybe trying keeping your word to your customers and you would know how to run a business. ZERO STARS ****THEY HAVE NOW STARTED TO HARASS me over this Google review. They called me before they responded to this review. And had the nerve to ask me about my review even though they know they did wrong. They are harassing me by calling me and sending me messages thru Instagram. I can show proof.****
Hello Nicole once again i am sorry for the confusion but our policy has changed and is written clearly on our website. In effort to better our performance and efficiency moving forward it will have to be enforced. There is no ned to try and bash our business and service because we are no longer allowing delivery of less than 10 meals. We agree you should have been notified earlier and we apologize for the inconvenience but there is not much we can do due to a lower amount of staff and drivers due to covid. We also are now VSP packaging our meals and like i mentioned earlier those customers that used to order less than 10 now order 10 and order bi weekly. Im sorry we had to change our policy and hope in the future you can understand and order bi weekly.

Fantastic experience: I am a CrossFit trainer in ny. My gym uses Spartan and I gotta say all the members love their meals. They are always fresh, the staff is very friendly and they even throw in free snacks in peoples orders here and there.
