Fantastic experience: The nurses and doctors here are great. They listen to the patients and their concerns. I don't remember all of their names, but, Norma was amazing. She made me feel as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. And the nurse that drewmy blood was super sweet and grabbed me a blanket when she saw that I was cold. I have a habit of repeating myself (due to being ignored by many medical professionals in the past) and didn't feel the need to do it excessively (I'm still me, so I'm still going to do it). They ran some tests and sent me home with some meds for my condition. I'm not a fan of hospitals, but this is the one I like best.

Fantastic experience: I recently took my sister to Garden City Hospital emergency room after she had a fall. I can’t express how professional and timely the staff were. Within five minutes we were seen by the Physician, x-rays were ordered and reviewed. Within a hour, we were all set for discharge. We got a referral to see a specialist the next day and they helped give us Medical Equipment to get us to that appointment. Thank you for the excellent service and medical expertise. I especially want to thank the emergency room resident Dr. Benjamin Robison and Dr. Riccardo. Thank you to the awesome staff.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank the radiology department. They were patient with me and they helped me get through a CT scan. It was a Saturday and they fit me in right after my husband because I had one coming up on another day. I suffer from claustrophobia and they talked me through the whole thing. It's staff like that that helps people like me. Thank you for your kindness. Unfortunately I don't remember their names but I hope their bosses see this. Great job guys! You are so appreciated.

Fantastic experience: The girls that did my ultrasound on my hand and rest were very professional I was very satisfied with their professional behavior. I felt like I was their number one concern and they went above and beyond to make sure they cover the area in question that needed the attention I received. Excellent job.

Negative experience: I brought my daughter 5 days ago. She had shortness of breath, excruciating pain in her lung, a fever and a terrible cough. She took an X-ray and they “claimed” they saw fluid but not much. So the Dr said it may be para influenza OR bronchitis but on the discharge paper he put URI. I later found out my baby had pneumonia and they discharged her with out any antibiotics etc I am so mad!!!! Don’t ever bring your family here. 3 whole hours of wasted time and carelessness

Negative experience: I had to get lab work done and it I arrived at :45. After 5 minutes, per the sign in the wall, I went to information and asked for them to dial the extension provided on the wall. He did graciously and the person on the other end said it wasn’t thier job to find the lab techs. He advised her that it is indeed her job. I went back to the lab and sat for maybe 20 minutes then I hear over the speaker them finally calling someone to the lab. No one ever came. I returned back to the information desk, he apologized on their behalf and paged them again. Went back, they still did not show up. I was never seen and my bloodwork was never taken. I cannot believe this is how this hospital is ran. Registration were angels and the information desk guy was awesome. I ended up leaving around 5:10pm. I was there at 3:45.

Negative experience: It wouldn’t let me pick zero stars so I was forced to give them one. Garden City Hospital has new owners who do not care about patients. Tonight my wife was checked in after telling the front desk our situation (at that point they could’ve told us only one doctor was on staff) and after being checked in and put in a room we were not spoken to for 2 hours. No tests, no questions. At that point I asked a paramedic (since there was only housekeeping and a paramedic to be found) what was going on and she told me their only doctor was doing a procedure and it could be hours before they could do anything at all. Understandable, if we didn’t run into another doctor who was sitting on his cell phone. Unprofessional, under staffed, and they didn’t even have 1/4 of the beds full. 3 other families walked out before us, as one staff member was talking about walking out and others quitting. I will never take anyone I care about here ever again. Very disappointing. This used to be a decent hospital.

Negative experience: Biggest waste of space in our city. Wife goes in in extreme pain. They make guesses as to what it is and do zero testing. No bloodwork no x ray or cat scan. Send her home with a lidocaine patch and no real answers. Y’all are ridiculous. Hope you go belly up sooner than later.

Negative experience: I went to emergency the young lady on the intake desk was a bit dismissive about my breathing problem. The first nurse I encountered was attentive and did a good job. Some of the staff in ER were unprofessional and I felt ignored. In the future unless absolutely necessary I’ll be avoiding this hospital. It was an overall bad experience.

Fantastic experience: I had a mamograph. I believe the lady's name was Shannon.. I use a cane and the first thing she did was give me a chair for comfort. First time anyone has done this, no matter the test, So considerate and polite in every way.

Positive experience: i got my appendix removed and out of all the nurses that i had so far rhonda and bonita was by far my favorite! they actually comes when i press the call light, she’s very nice and helpful and makes you feel very comfortable. definitely cannot say the same about everyone else…..

Fantastic experience: I was recently in on two different days for an MRI. All of the ladies I had contact with from front desk and beyond I was welcomed with smiles, they gave information on what was going on, also friendly and warm. They were all great and showed they enjoyed their jobs. I have two stimulators in my shoulders so ladies wanted to make sure I could have MRI and wouldn't be harmed in process of procedure. Positive experience: I went here because the reviews weren't horrible, like every other hospital in this area! So, it's only right for me to leave one. I went in early on a Sunday and was in and seeing a medical professional in minutes. Majority of the staff I had to see, had good bedside manner. The young lady who passed my meds....a bit rude, but all the others made up for it. Its understood that in the ER, you won't get 1:1 attention, but I felt like I was listened to. It gave me peace of mind to be safe, rather than sorry. Those are the things that matter to me.

Negative experience: This hospital will forever give me nightmares! My daughter said she couldn’t breathe she’s 11 years old! She’s a healthy girl yet last night she said she couldn’t breathe so I took her to garden city hospital. They checked my daughter in after 15 min and because I was crying they told me that I was over reacting! This is my daughter! Ofcourse ima worry that she can’t breathe. Soon as they admitted us to the back they gave her Covid test and made us wait 2 hours just to say it was negative then I asked if they can give her oxygen they said no! Worst hospital ever! All they worry is about Covid they don’t care if you can’t breathe! The American system sucks! Who ever worked last night I hope this never happens to your child! No parent should go through what Garden City nurses say to parents! She literally said “why are u crying ur going to give ur daughter an anxiety attack” like are u kidding me I was only tearing up I didn’t fall to the floor dramatically so what they did was so insensitive! I will file a complaint!

Fantastic experience: The employees at the hospital care an awful lot about the patients that come there. I went through emergency yesterday for a large kidney stone and within two minutes they had me in intake and three minutes later I was being taken care of by a nurse. I will always refer garden city hospital over big name hospitals to family , friends and co workers. Ty for caring about us.

Fantastic experience: Went in at midnight, sat for about 10 minutes then was promptly taken back! staff was kind and listened to my concerns. The Dr on staff was amazing as well, he was quickly in my room and diagnosed me. Send my medicine to the nearest 24 cvs and was home around 1 in the morning. Would go here again ☺️

Positive experience: Brought my granddaughter overall, our treatment was spot on professional and showed concerned. My granddaughter had to have an x-ray the technician was quite rude to us. My granddaughter had injured her leg and had difficulty walking. I asked for chair the Technician said” you can’t walk?” it was quite sharp rude even so I asked to go with her, she said, “she’s 16” I said she’s still a minor reluctantly she agreed told me I couldn’t be in the room so when we got to the room I saw a chair inside I asked if I could have that chair she said “ That’s for patience!!!”. I said I need to sit down …we went back-and-forth a few times She finally reluctantly brought me the chair. Sidenote, I’m an obvious senior. My granddaughter said when she got in the room For her x-ray, The technician said “oh my God” like in discuss! This behavior and treatment was unlike any that I’ve Ever received in your hospital And I hope the proper people are made aware

Negative experience: My mom had a car tire blow up at her head, and had ringing in her ears for hours. So Zeinab, the nurse, at first marked it as a head injury, later changing it to a HEADACHE. It was hours before my mom was seen and she was twitching, her vision had gone wonky, and still the ringing was there. Negligence and laziness shown in a lot of the staff here.

Positive experience: Nice hospital all around. Er staff was great.I would have been 5 star review but I had terrible nurse. Diane woke me up in the morning to give me an antacid and I wasn't there for a stomach problem she did not give me any of my asthma inhaler or pain medicine.I had nurse that was caring for my roommate. He took care of me doing her job. Then in evening when I was due for more meds she came scanned my arm band had my medication a left without giving it to me I rang bell few times and after few hours never got my meds . Even other staff said she's dose this to other patients. There's no point in being in a hospital if I can't be treated.

Fantastic experience: Due to an emergency situation my mom was brought to Garden City Hospital. The nurses and staff was WONDERFUL. Some of the nurses that took extra care of my mother were Abir, Darvious, Shannon, Emily, Adriana to name a few. Other staff members that made sure my mom was well cared for was Naomi. Her wonderful smile, and sense of humor always brought joy to the room. I would definitely recommend Garden City Hospital to any one who need hospitalized medical care .

Negative experience: This Is Tanya Coil!! This Place was Okay! The Nurses were very Awesome and Caring but I was” Cold The Entire time I was there”I’ve had 3-4 nurses asking me if I was Okay! I said Yea but Cold and I’ve asked Multiple Times for a Cover or Blanket.I was Ignored or Nurses Walking pass without asking anything or Walked in and many saw me sitting up or in a ball with my knees up! I was there since 10-11am and I left at 4pm and THE WORST PART WAS THERE WAS NO PRIVACY.And Yes I felt like I was Dying of the Cold”I understand it’s a reason for the Coldness but I at least Could have got a cover or blanket but Nooooo!! And Beside me Was A White Women Who They OFFERED HER A COVER!! SHE Declined but I’ve Asked Multiple times I got Ignored!! I know I'm Bi-Racial But The Nurses Who Worked with me Were White or Arabic I believe and The Fact I sat in that Cold Room for Hours with no Blanket or Cover tells me IM NOT GOING BACK TOO THE HOSPITAL! And I still Wasn’t Offered a Cover before I left!! AT Sinai-Grace Hospital I was offered Covers Only CAUSE MY MOM IS WHITE!! The HOSPITALS NEED CHANGING CAUSE IM NOT FEELING THE LOVE!

Negative experience: I wanted to give this hospital a four star rating due to the care that I had 2 weeks ago and to the urologist on duty Dr Harb. However I went here a day ago due to complications from stents that were placed from my kidney stones. The er department seemed to be all confused. One person said one thing and another person said another. Staff was very loud and were playing around the whole time. When you’re in the er it’s not a place to play around all day. As a patient makes you feel as though they really don’t care. Was told I had an infection and that I didn’t need antibiotics. However some were called in for me. I ended up signing myself out and will not be returning. I will go back to at. Mary mercy from now on. I heard them tell one guy that he was getting discharged and they even took his iv out and had this poor old man in the middle of getting dressed. Then came back in and told him the system wasn’t correct and he was being admitted. They had to re run his Iv and make this poor thing get back in his hospital gown. This happened a few times with Miss information. NEVER AGAIN. When you have people’s lives in your hands you need to get it correct. I get mistakes happen and we are all human but not multiple times on one shift. I was very disappointed ☹️ beings again care was great just two weeks ago

Negative experience: There's no way that the rating is accurate in no way shape or form both my parents for misdiagnosed there they told my mother she had a severe cold two days later I took her to a different hospital and they literally said while looking at the results from Garden City how could you miss a heart attack and diagnosis as a severe cold? If you have a boo boo I need a Band-Aid I imagine they could handle that but beyond that you're better off self-diagnosing.

Negative experience: The staff is very unprofessional. Listening to my child vomiting Walking by and no bucket or change of sheet was offered. I had to go into the hospital make a complaint just for my child to at least get a bucket. Two hours goes by no doctor in sight no one came to update me or even check on my child after being told his breathing is rapid. On top of that I was told the doctors didn't even know my son was there an hour later how do you not know a sick child is there in need. I had to make the best choice for my child and leave. I didn't even want the care because no care was giving at all

Positive experience: Go to the westland community health center ER… there was no wait and the doctors and staff are all helpful. On the medsurg unit at the main hospital Nurses and doctors were all really good… the cleaning staff came every day. The nurses did seem overworked but they did their best. Moral seemed high enough on most nights and days. 3 IV pumps did not work. I think they need some new equipment for patient care but overall it was as pleasant as a hospital stay can be. I did have to share a room with another patient and I’m grateful my roommate was cool. I give my roommate 10 stars.

I will never return to this hospital. I will drive twice as far to avoid this place at all costs from now on.

Fantastic experience: I had an endoscopy on October 7, 2024 scheduled at 1:15 pm. I arrived at 11:30 am and was assisted in the check in area immediately. I was treated kindly and with the utmost professionalism. I went to the surgical area to be prepped for the procedure. Dr. B. Hmoud had me in and out so expeditiously my family members couldn't believe it. He explained to me what to expect and I'm thankful he is always on point. The entire surgical team was outstanding, caring and attentive. The surgical nurse John was extremely calming for me, he made me laugh. Mo from the Anesthesia team took care of his part of the business with precision, it was an instantaneous but relaxing nap. Kudos to to Gastroenterologist Dr. B. Hmoud and the GCH team. Would I come back again? If required by Dr. Hmoud, yes I would without hesitation and would hope to see everyone who served me with such excellence again. Many thanks again for consistently demonstrating extraordinary caring and kindness to me today.

Fantastic experience: I went in with a specific plan, got the necessary imaging done, the doctor had them give me something for the pain. it was one of the fastest ER visits ever. In out done. Fantastic experience: I went to Garden City Hospital for my colonoscopy. I was told to be there at 7:30 for check-in and my colonoscopy was at 9:00. There was no wait for the check-in. A male nurse took me from there for post-op. It was very quick and I was out by 10:30. The nurses all introduced themselves and really explained each step to make me comfortable and make sure I knew what was going to happen. Also each of the doctors as well. I would highly recommend going there.

Fantastic experience: I have used GCH lab for about 50 years and I have nearly always had nothing but positive to say about it. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The one exception I experienced occurred when I was hospitalized. The phlebotomist who drew blood on one occasion was very unfriendly and rough. The hemotoma left did not go away for several weeks. Once in fifty years is a pretty good record.

Positive experience: The nursing staff was great, the Doctor acted like he had somewhere else to be. The doctor was not listening to me, just kept going on about covid. I came in with leg pain, and he wanted a covid test. I denied it, was sent home quickly.

Fantastic experience: The ultrasound tech was phenomenal and explained what sounds I would hear and why. She was so very upbeat and comforting. She had a young lady training to be an ultrasound tech. She asked, very politely, if it was alright if the young lady could use the ultrasound on me to get experience. The tech was wonderful in teaching her techniques and explaining what she was visualizing. It was a great experience and I'm happy to have been a patient who helped someone in training for their career. I've always had great doctor's, nurses and tech personnel at Garden City Hospital.

Fantastic experience: I’m honestly shocked by the 3.5 rating here.. I just recently moved back to the area and had to address a concern for my son. It’s was ten to 9 and most, if not all, urgent cares in the area were closing, so I decided to go here instead of St Joes ER. Front the moment I entered the front door, the front desk staff were kind. The older lady who brought us back to take his vital signs was super nice. Only downfall was that the doctor was not super personable, but was attentive to our needs; not enough to warrant a 4 star review.. glad I found a place close to home (8 minutes) for any emergent needs :)

Negative experience: The wait was very short due to them being very empty but the nurses were very short and unwelcoming they never introduced themselves my p.a that diagnosed me was also very short and unwelcoming she did introduce herself but she gave off that she was very busy too busy to talk to patients (but kind you there were only 3-4 patients in e.r at that time ) i will most likely never be back unless the wait every where else is 2+ hours when i called for my test results they talked to me as if i was an idiot saying cultures take 48 hours but they were the ones who told me to call at the specified time i called over all unsatisfied and would not recommend

Fantastic experience: I stopped in after a deep cut on my finger continued to bleed after 6 hours. All urgent cares were closed and I wasn't sure if stitches were needed. Staff was professional and kind. Even though this was a relatively minor injury, I was afraid it would continue overnight. Thank you, GCH.

Negative experience: The billing department is outsourced. I was charged twice. Once through my insurance and then they charged me the full cost of the procedure. There is no one in the hospital that can help me. They keep telling me to call the center in India. They just refer me back to the hospital. Incompetence on a whole new level just to outsource the billing department. Good luck if you go here. You’ll need it

Positive experience: They did their job, helped potentially save my life, respect. That said, understaffed, uncomfortable, no privacy, unprofessional in some cases. The nurses were on their game 100% obviously overwhelmed, the docs were very polished, younger pros, but pushy almost to used car sales, and a few reeked of arrogance. Go there in an emergency.

Fantastic experience: I had to go here for a full body scan. I swore off this hospital due to a bad experience years ago and vowed not to return. However, this was the closest place that performs this test I needed. I will comment only on the Nuclear Med tech Raman M and Lori the registration person for that department. They were great! Lori set me up and answered all questions prior to my test and Ramar was so kind, informative, compassionate and through. I would go back and see them anytime and would recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: There was no wait time. Most nurses can't find my vein to draw blood, but this lab nurse found a vein on the first try. It was virtually painless and she took 12 vials of blood in one needle poke. I was very, very, impressed.

Negative experience: The people at the information desk were disgustingly rude to my friend who was actively in a mental crisis, and then yelled at them and thought that was gonna help the situation. They also said things like “ we are not doing this” (about my friend) and you need to go back there literally yelling at her while she was in an active panic mode.The people running the front desk are rude and disrespectful.
